Kyron Drones Rumors?

Bud Elliott on the Cover 3 podcast mentioned there are rumors of Kyron Drones to LSU. Anyone hear this?
To be fair, he mentioned he didn’t understand why LSU would make the move with Nussmeier already in the fold.

I don’t buy it. He’s in a great spot at VT and Pry is doing a good job developing him. Theyre also bringing back like 22 starters.

Drones wouldn’t transfer to compete for a job. If he was leaving, he would go somewhere like Auburn where they could guarantee him the spot.

Apparently the official rumors on the VT side is that the LSU collective offered Drones $1,000,000 to transfer. That seems insane to me for multiple reasons. Namely we have a starting QB, and if we are going to drop a massive bag, it needs to be for defensive talent.

Highly doubt that this would be true. He's the incumbent at VT. Furthermore he was apart of the Shadowcreek team that Coach O did a masterful job of crapping the bed with. As a coaches kid, I don't think he forgets that lol.

I doubt that a million dollars for a backup is in the offing.
however, that million dollars if it truly exists could be well spent getting some defensive talent which is now and has been LSU Achilles Heel!

Yes. When I think of great dual threat QBs, they definitely lose to Vandy and average 1 yard per carry

This is the way it will be in college football from now on. Get used to it after each good game by an offensive player or an injury by a QB.
