Republicans are incompetent campaigners. Every Republican should be going through their video vaults and flooding the Internet and media with all the warnings to Democrats not to pass the bs inflation reduction act spending bill.
Democrats were told exactly what would happen and it happened exactly as it was told by Republicans.

As a government, you cannot force someone home (away from work and away from an opportunity to pay bills) and not indemnify them for the government actions.
You can claim that any lockdown was wrong. And that is a fair argument.
But what you cannot do is claim that citizens obeying the mandated requirements "to not work" were not due assistance with their lost income.
There absolutely is an obligation of the government to reconcile the situation.

you can argue that the Covid checks under Trump helped fuel inflation down the road but technically your above statement is incorrect. the inflation numbers in the OP disprove your statement
I don't know what you're arguing.
All I'm suggesting is that all the Covid dollars that flooded the economy sparked the inflation wave, and that flood started in, what, April of 2020?

Only a big government liberal socialist would think like this.

David & Ronricks can't stop themselves from attacking Trump any time they can.
It's not attacking Trump to point out that all the ridiculous spending on Covid response started the wave of inflation we're experiencing. Why are you so uncomfortable with a simple fact like that?

You shouldn't assume everyone is as weak/ignorant as you and prone to vote by emotion. You are retarded if you can read my posts and think I'd vote for Joe Biden.

Lies. The complete Keystone pipeline was scheduled to reach the gulf coast in Texas to expedite Canadian sour crude to the gulf coast refineries that are configured to process sour crude.
The environmental wackos should realize crude transport via rail is multitudes more risky than pumping through an enclosed pipeline.
The greatest benefactor to shutting down the Keystone system?
Warren Buffet (he owns those rail lines and donates to democrats)

It is an easy exercise.
Either the government tells the landlord/mortgage, water company, electrical company, gas company to suspend their billing.
Or the government supplements lost income which taken away from the citizens by mandate.
It is no different than if I personally forced you out of work.
Every attorney in the country would jump at the opportunity to make you whole as I have tortiously harmed you.
For what it is worth, I opposed mandates.
I would have voluntarily stayed home as we have family who are immuno-compromised.
The actions needed for my immediate family do not justify mandates for the entire country.
I believe in personal accountability and personal responsibility.
But when my choices for accountability and responsibility are stripped from me, the one taking that accountability is now responsible.

I have seen it estimated around 24% over the last 3.5 years and that’s probably low.

You sound pretty emotional junior.
It's a common/repetitive trend on this board however for you and Ronricks to run to almost any thread about Biden and immediately deflect blame onto Trump. You 2 seem to have an underlying passion to do this. It's beyond just stating your arguments. We all know where you 2 stand. It really seems you guys have an underlying mental illness - and we know what it's called. Carry on since this seems like therapy for you guys

Says the guy that thinks because I noticed when all the ridiculous Covid spending started in 2020 it means I hate DT.

JFC - you really are soft.
Anybody that reads my posts and thinks I'll vote for someone other than DT this November is retarded.
So tell me, do you disagree that the $5 trillion wasted on Covid response in 2020 kicked off the surge in inflation? Why not respond to what's being discussed rather than emote all over the place?
Posted on 4/11/24 at 7:56 pm to David_DJS
No I do not think it kicked-off the surge in inflation junior. I think it added to it though. And Biden’s statement that inflation was “skyrocketing “ when he took office was the initial topic. But David, the weeping TDS bitch, changed the topic to Trump like you always do. Seek psychological help since tigerdroppings obviously isn’t helping

The national debt has grown by over $6.24 trillion since Biden took office in 2021, largely driven by COVID-19 relief measures. If we measure from the start of the new fiscal year on October 1st, 2021 the debt has grown by over $5.56 trillion under President Biden.
So did inflation "skyrocket" before Biden took office? If so, show me the inflation data to support your argument

So Trump's $5T in deficit spending the two years before Biden's $5T in deficit spending didn't start the spike in inflation. DT's $5T somehow leapfrogged Biden's and only added to inflation that Biden's $5T started.
That's brilliant.

There's only one of us coming across like an emotional midget, and it ain't me. Why are you so bothered by my posting that Covid relief kicked off inflation, and Trump was steering the ship at the beginning of that? Simple facts shouldn't bother you so much.

A few things on this - Trump's last fiscal year ended on 9/30/2021, so looking at deficits for the time a president is in office is a bit off. Not to mention precision in assigning deficits to specif presidents (years) is nearly impossible given that spending called for in legislation isn't immediate. For example, Biden's spending won't end on January 20, 2025. It'll go on for years.
But the broad strokes - Trump's last two fiscal years saw something north of $5T in deficit spending, which is pretty much what we've gotten in Biden's first three years. The upshot is as I've posted - Covid spending was ridiculous and kicked off inflation that Biden has happily poured jet fuel on.

No. That's not what I have argued. I've argued that the inflation spike we've seen the last 3 years (and will persist) is in substantial part the result of wild fedgov deficit spending that started under Trump and continues under Biden.

"That's not what I have argued."
No you didn't. That's exactly my point. That's the OP. You immediately diverted from the OP to Trump is responsible - as you always do.
"started under Trump"
And here you go again. You can't help yourself. Trump didn't start the build up of the national debt nor was he the worst. Again if inflation was skyrocketing before Biden took office and you agree, then post the inflation numbers at the end of Trump's term.
"There's only one of us coming across like an emotional midget, and it ain't me."
"You shouldn't assume everyone is as weak/ignorant as you"
You sure sound like a little bitch to me. Again show me the inflation numbers at the end of Trump's term or are you going to keep whining?

Exactly. If somebody’s goal was to cause inflation , they would do everything the Biden administration did. He’s clueless, but the bigger problem is the people telling him what to do are anti-American.
