their plan is to do everything they can to stop the economy from improving under trump just like they did during his first term
so it should be funny watching them reverse every metric and reason they have to do things, for that sole reason to not let trump improve things
Here is your answer.
They cannot allow an outsider, someone not in a bureaucratic uniparty machine, come in and do their job better than them. That would open the eyes of the populace saying we have been lied to for decades.

I think it really was the COVID spending, which isn't exactly a strong defense of Trump, but it is important to note.
Spending under Trump was basically in line with Obama post-recession.
Spending as a percent of GDP was 20.3% in 2017, 19.9% in 2018, and 20.7% in 2019.
That is in line with spending under Obama post great recession, but higher than what we saw prior to Obama until the 80s and early 90s.
Spending under Joe is up significantly in the last 2 years (being post-COVID).

One party?
Yes. ONE. Read my post again.
Your graph simply charts pretty much what's already baked in. Which we've already discussed. We're kinda shite outta luck on that one.
But holy shite man. The Democrats have like 10 NEW ideas for COMPLETELY NEW exorbitant spending that would friggin pass TOMORROW if they had the votes. And not even that many more votes.
The Dems look at our engorged entitlements and literally want MORE entitlements!
Absurd one off spending is annoying as frick but at least it's one off. Dems want to basically give us shiny new add ons to all the existing entitlements that go on in perpetuity.

There’s no amount that’s insignificant when every person holds $101,000 in national debt.

Republicans have been in charge of the House for 24 of the last 32 years.

Wow.

It's like 1 month of Social Security.
It's insignificant. Only people trying to make partisan points bring up Ukraine money.

What we've sent Ukraine in dollars is less than 1 month of Social Security spending.

Citing Ukraine money as a concern for our debt/inflation shows that person is being irrationally partisan and not serious about the topic.

That would be you.
One poster questioned whether one particular party was responsible for our financial situation, and the other poster pinned it on the dems. I merely pointed out that Republicans were complicit - at best.

Your attempt to be cute fell flat because you really should have directed it at the poster that was making the distinction in the first place, not at me. I've been saying that the Democrats and Republicans were head and arse of the same beast for years.
