Inspection Sticker Bill deferred

Dammit.

I guess I'll pay the 20 buck tax since I'm 3 months overdue. I waited on this bill to fail to get it done.

I remember one of JBE’s arguments against getting rid of inspection stickers the last time this came up- something like hundreds of small businesses that are certified inspection centers across the state are counting the selling of the, at most, few hundred $10-$20 inspection stickers they sell a year to stay in business and that it could be an economic disaster if the state got rid of the requirement

Also I did not vote Landry. But y’all are going to need something more when you want to cry about showing respect for 2 fricking minutes out of your day.

The inspection sticker is no real burden for me, but the inspections are sort of a joke in many locations.

My mechanic buddy said this would create a nightmare to get your emissions approval.

He said no shops would want to do it and you would have to go to the state to do it.

Landry is a fricking idiot and will probably end up being worse than JBE.

LSP is double dipping at this point. They found a new revenue stream with the vape tax AND they get to keep this. Must be nice.

Would be great if some of this money went to local police departments. LSP are overpaid degenerates.
