That’s the issue, those bama players didn’t get charged with the felony gun charges so they were reinstated

Look, I’m sorry I’m not jumping for joy one of our players has felony charges against them
Bigger picture, it sucks the general nature of colleges sports is nobody cares at all and just wants him eligible regardless

It'll be plead down to a misdemeanor with two or three years of probation and it's a whole lot better than what we feared when news first broke.
He had a gun and shot his gun is what the Grand Jury is saying. Not sure how you plead the 2 years down but we will see.

Yeh, I have no idea and will be honest I have no idea, but why are people so certain he gets a plea? If the evidence is strong why would the state take it?
LSU fans just hoping he gets preferential treatment?

Yes they were charged with having a gun in possession and weed. Charged and convicted are two different things. People seem to believe that if someone or the police charge you with something, you’re guilty. No that’s not at all how it works.
The charges were later dropped because no one claimed the freakn gun. So they basically lied and got away with it. The gun was on one of their laps at the time of arrest. There is no difference here. They are now charging him with something less than 2nd degree murder and he’s planning to prove that is false as well. They absolutely had a gun on them. There is no denying that. There’s video of them having a gun in the lap of someone. They were never punished.
This seems to be going in that type of direction to me and I would absolutely reinstate him with some restrictions involved. Like you can’t have any type of weapon on you and you must be clean for the remainder of your career at LSU. I’d also add that the microscope will now be on you so you need to start doing the right things to change this image and your personal path.
Basically, let’s play ball but you need to take steps in the right direction. If you’re convicted of any of these crimes then there will be equal consequences. The guy needs some guidance at this time not people to turn their backs on him. He could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time and now knows that where you at and who you with matters. I think the gun charges will be dropped as well.

Wait they haven’t let him go to class this whole time?
Mike Small needs to run over someone with one of his Bentleys if true.

I would think he was still going to class. I don’t think lsu prevents people with charges from attending

Woo hoo, let’s all celebrate the guy that shot up the party missed and now only has a gun charge

Gordon Bombay would never allow felons Adam. That’s why the Bash Brothers were cut right before college. Caught a Felony Assault charge

Y’all do know that this still has to be proved right? Some people should apologize to him because they were calling him a thug and killer. Everything that is wrong with LSU. With zero evidence that he did anything but was in the same area where this happened. That’s the only thing we know for sure. We should have a wait and see stance. All this says is that the 2nd degree murder charge is ridiculous so they said absolutely not, we not even putting that on the table. We will allow the gun charge for now and that’s it. But that still has to be proved. So this is a big deal for him and LSU. Yes it is! He could come away completely clean from this. With how it was charged to begin with, I will absolutely side with the young man on this for now. He deserves that!

I agree. Way too much rushing to judgement from some fans.

Illegal use of a weapon can probably fall under alot of things..doesn't mean he'll stay suspended

Not sure why we are still celebrating a gun felony charge for our player
Probably because the odds of that getting pled down to a misdemeanor are a bit higher than an attempted murder charge. Not saying that will happen but it is a bit more likely, I think.
I will say this and it will probably be unpopular. I do not know what went down, but if the allegations are true I hope he faces consequences as I would if it were some nameless person rather than an LSU football player. I also hope that he is innocent, will be found innocent legally (or charges dropped), and it is found that it was either mistaken identity or "witnesses" with malicious intent.
