Putin and Xi both have plans they want to accomplish before they die. No one can stop them from attempting to execute those plans through some carrot stick negotiations. The issue is: do these plans conflict with the best interest of the U.S. and will the President, whoever that may be, try to protect that or let Putin and Xi do whatever they want.

Ending the Ukraine war is easy; he'll just give away parts of Ukraine to Russia and tell the Ukrainians "Tough shite." But ending the was in the Middle East is another matter. He can try to end it as the Democrats are determined to, by forcing the Israelis to accept the status quo ante, with Hamas alive, well, and working toward the next terror attack on Israel. Under what other terms could he end it?
And I don't think he can end it that way. I think it will not end until the Israelis have extirpated Hamas. He could cut off US military assistance to Israel, but Israel is not Ukraine. They have planned for this contingency, and they will simply keep fighting.

If elected, what Trump will actually do is double our support of Israel until Israel wins outright. In that sense he will end the war by helping Israel win it.
In Ukraine he will end it quickly by cutting a deal with Putin.

That would be sensible, but it is the opposite of "tougher".

And it's amazing because the more likely a person is to parrot that nonsense, the more likely they also are to be a Cult45 Member.
