Every single drug on the market has side effects. You ever actually read the giant sheet that comes with every single drug? It makes it seem like you are better off not taking it.
I believe I’m reacting very well to the drug is because the first forty years of my life, I probably had five prescriptions to my name (most antibiotics). I wouldn’t even take aspirin for a headache.
Now that I have a few prescriptions, my body does very well on them.
I’ve seen people pop pills their entire life, and when they had to take something of importance, it doesn’t work.
This Mounjaro is going to get me off Metformin, Crestor, and Amlodipine.

Already covered this am not talking about the usual nausea, diarrhea, vomiting disclaimer that is on every single prescription medication. This goes far beyond that.

Been there, done that.
My plan is to get there and then stay there with good diet and exercise. When I would try to get in shape, I’d try my hardest, damn near extreme dieting and workout for six months, just to lose 20lbs.
This is a life changing drug and I needed to do something radical. I was fricking amazed at my 25lb loss in 5 weeks, with never going hungry or extreme workout.
An old supervisor of mine once told me about 15 years ago, “You know why there are a very few fat people in their late 50’s? It’s because they are all dead!”
You wanna know what I’ve eaten since one fajita at 6pm last night?
I’ve had a triple zero Greek yogurt (90 calories), and I’m not hungry one bit.
I am simply amazed at this drug.
I believe this is the drug that will change the world.

Nice job on the weight loss so far. Everyone has to weigh (no pun intended) the pros and cons of these meds for themselves. I know this firsthand. It took me 2 years to drop 60#. I did it thru diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes. I hit that mark early November. Since then, basically nada/zero/zilch. It's VERY aggravating/disheartening working your arse off and not seeing change on the scale.
I talked to my doctor about GLP-1s, did some research myself, and spoke to some people on this site about options. There's not much info on how these affect people who have ALREADY made the necessary changes to better themselves. That's why I started asking around to get 1st hand experiences. I found out my insurance covers these completely ($0). My wife was very hesitant about them since her only knowledge came from the 'scary' news stories. I was able to get her on board with actual facts instead of the outlier stories.
I took my 1st shot Wednesday evening. So far I've had 0 issues. It could be in my head, but I struggled to eat enough protein yesterday.
As I stated right above, I've only been on this 2 days and not 2 months like you. With that said, 2PM and you've had 15g of protein?!? That is not good and actually horrible. Even if you weren't on this drug you should be around 80-90g by now. The studies showing people losing 40% of weight as muscle mass are partly due to lack of protein just like this.

I’ve since eaten some nuts, cheese, and jerky.
If you don’t know, the shot slows down your digestion, so a big dinner (even tho my dinner was one fajita) will make you feel full for hours.
The biggest advice I give you is to drink more water than you think you need. People who have stomach issues on this drug don’t drink enough water, causing pluggage. I’ve already drank four 32 oz Yeti cups of water today. Granted, I’ve been working outside all day

My wife’s on the drug and is unhappy with her slow weight loss. That’s because she doesn’t need it and is simply in a normal calorie deficit for 1-2lb per week weight loss. Something that she could and has done herself. But whatever. She needs strength training but good luck with that

I've said my piece on this drug, why I'm conflicted, etc.
If it's helping you, god bless. It's the same thing I say to my sister. But the harsh reality is if you went on this drug because you couldn't lose weight with diet and exercise, when you go off there's a good bet that weight is coming back.
I honestly hope I am wrong about that and people actually did just need the kickstart. I really don't believe I am wrong.
You're eating less because the drug is preventing the mechanisms that prompt you to eat. Once that goes away, you're going to eat again. This isn't about discipline. This is about the fact that the drug is allowing you to bypass the crucial step in the weight loss process, which is understanding why you want to eat and doing the emotional work to get past it. If you haven't put in the work, I'd be willing to bet you're going to start eating like shite again.
I'm not saying this to be a dick. I'm saying it because I feel bad for all of the people who are getting on this drug, who can't afford to stay on it long-term, who will boomerang back up to obesity.
Again, I don't care enough about you to sugar coat it. As a matter of fact, I like you as a poster and TD member, your threads are generally very cool. I just think people have a rude awakening coming, some of them my friends and family I'd really like to see keep off the weight.
Edit to add -- Also, there definitely are side effects to this drug. They are not common, but they do happen. Whether your comfortable with that risk is a conversation between yourself and your doctor.

Curious, why do you recommend first stacking tesamorlin/hexarelin , and then moving to cjc-1295/ipa ?

Your weight also has an effect on your joints. Carrying an extra 20 lbs just because is doing them no favors.
