Starting 5 without a solid transfer PG

F Sa'Myah Smith 6'2
C Jersey Wolfenbarger 6'5 (Portal for 2024 season) She is a Center/Forward!
F Morrow 6'1
G Flau'jae 5'10
SG Mk. Williams 6'

Back-ups

SG- HVL 5’7 (is she coming back?)
PG- Poa 5'11
C- A.D. Rosario 6'6
F- Kent 6'1 (she is so hot!)
F- Amani Bartlett 6'3
G- Velez 5’7
PG- Jada Richard 5'7 (high school, 2024 class)

Wolfenbarger will not be starting. Also, she is NOT a center. She is a guard / forward. If Van Lith comes back, she'll be the starting pg UNLESS they get someone in the portal. Johnson and Williams are entrenched at the other two guard spots.

OK noted, but what makes her NOT being a center. We all agree she is 6'5" which is very tall for a woman. And if we need her arse down low to match up with USCE or another big UCLA frontcourt = Center/Forward!!!!!

She is not a center Just like I'm not a porn star, but I try to be like one when the girl needs it

Guards in the portal:

DeeDee Hagemann (Michigan State)
Talia von Oelhoffen (Oregon State)
Charlisse Leger-Walker (Washington State)
Georgia Amoore (Virginia Tech)
Kaitlyn Chen (Princeton)
Grace Townsend (Richmond)

Is it really that difficult to understand that your skill set is equally important to your size? She’s rail thin and doesn’t play physical. She wouldn’t match up against the bigs you are referencing. I’m sure she will get minutes at the 5 in spurts, but she isn’t Angel’s replacement.

I'm pretty sure the only thing he knows about her is her height.

Emma Ronsiek from Creighton is in the portal . 6’1 small forward would be a nice get. Career 48% from the floor and 36 from 3.

She wouldn’t play over morrow and I doubt she’s going anywhere to come off the bench

Morrow is a great rebounder but her offensive game needs work.

You need to work on your understanding of the game!

She’s a small forward who struggles with anything outside of 10 ft. Considering most of her shots are around the goal you’d think she’d shoot better than 46. From 3 she shoots 20%.

She’s in the body of a small forward but she’s more 4 than 3 skill wise. I think she pressed a little at times to get in flow.

Cause she's undersized for a post. Morrow is a great player but her and Angel overlapped skill wise. She'll be fine.

Morrow’s offensive game is what Angel Reese wished her offensive game had.

Shot selection. She settles for hard shots when she doesnt have to.

Her shot selection problem is shooting the second she gets it. It was fine at Depaul when her doing anything was best option but she needs to calm that down. She kinda did as the season went along but still too quick a trigger.

So how many spots do we have? I know we need a guard and center. I don’t think Delrasario is a starter. She just comes in and gives up fouls. Very slow footed but eats up space.

She is not a starter yet but will be after next year. She improved as the year went on and will be a starter after next season. We need an experienced big to go along with Smith and Morrow with Del getting significant minutes next year. We desperately need a true point. For us to compete next year Williams needs to take a jump.

Agreed. Del improved a ton over the season. If she makes any type of jump like Flau'jae did from year 1 to year 2, she will be getting significant minutes next year.

Need another post player for sure from portal or this team will be in same situation like last year when Sa'myah went down. Hopin ADR improves alot you can tell she just dominated HS just off size and I expect Kent to improve over th summer for sure. Alos I expect them to add a pg with experience now that HVL has left. We didn't see much of Velez this year and unclear about Richard nothing negative just a incoming freshman. Also you not getting anything out of Bartlett she hasn't played any meaningful minutes and will be a senior next year.

Hoping for 1 pg, 1 post player, and lethal 3 point shooter if possible.
