Regardless of the loss was a good night for LSU women's basketball.

One of the most talked about sporting events today.

That’s insane. More than every 2023 World Series game and nearly every NBA Finals game. More than LSU-Bama and LSU-Florida State in football.

Most watched CBB game men or women on ESPN networks

I live in Georgia and had many clients and coworkers talk to me about watching the LSU game, wild to think they were talking about WBB

And outside of Clark an embarrassing athletic display of basketball.
It honestly looks like 12 year olds playing basketball.
Slow in transition, bad shots, missed layups, players falling.
Just a different game.

Total exaggeration there...I think LSU had 13 turnovers to their 12 (that's not much by today's standards), there were a lot of very fast-paced transitions where the other team wasn't back on D yet, there were numerous great blocks and backdoor passes, and both teams made a decent amount of 3s.
Yes, there were numerous bad shots and missed layups, but I watch a lot of basketball and see that all the time. Both teams were nailing shots in the first half and it was fast-paced and exciting. LSU just played bad in the 2nd half.

Thank goodness we have you to tell us what we actually saw with our own eyes.

Just watched the extended highlights of that game.
If not for Caitlin Clark or me being an LSU fan, I’d rather watch that.
Thanks for helping me validate my opinion.

Impressive. Now LSU just needs Reese to come back.

I tried to watch it but found it almost unwatchable other than Clark. Easy misses, players flailing and lots of falling down. I really cant believe it was rated higher than an LSU-Bama game.

II’m sure all these “women's basketball fans” will be championing the sport next year when Clark or LSU aren’t involved.
Must be a can’t miss product for ya’ll.

The interest was the drama more than the sport, most likely.

That’s easy to answer. No one cares about WBB. It takes a fan base like LSU, UConn, Tennessee, and a generational talent like Clark to have the general public interested.
The powers to be will say look how far the game has come, but it will sink the second Clark isn’t involved.
The game is just different. It’s not entertaining. It’s not comparable to the mens product. A routine play is “exciting”

But they were.

I’m sure you’ll be watching nc state/usc vs UConn if that’s how it ends up.

A decent high school boys team would beat the best Women’s college bball team.
Everyone who’s intellectually honest knows this is true.
Look, i watched all of it last night because of the drama. And i enjoyed it, except for the loss. But the quality of play (except for Clark) is really tough to watch.

If I’m not mistaken it broke the record set in 1983 womens game between USC and La Tech. Gee. I wonder who played for La Tech in 1983?
And yes womens bball is hard to watch. I’ll watch LSU for parts of the game and the big games and I turned to watch Clark a couple of times but not a big womens bball fan.
