The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) was an assault gun produced by Germany during World War II. It was the most-produced fully tracked armoured fighting vehicle, and second-most produced German armored combat vehicle of any type after the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track. It was built on a slightly modified Panzer III chassis, replacing the turret with an armored, fixed superstructure mounting a more powerful gun. Initially intended as a mobile assault gun for direct-fire support for infantry, the StuG III was continually modified, and much like the later Jagdpanzer vehicles, was employed as a tank destroyer.

Nice work. They should have prioritized manufacturing more StuG IIIs & the up-gunned Panzer IVs over the Tiger & Panther.

True. But then I would not have so many options on models to build.

Thanks guys. I started to do it with side skirts. But I decided to leave them off because I wanted to be able to see the details of the undercarriage.

Good stuff as usual!
When is the Anniston show? Sometime in April?

It’s this coming Saturday. I’ve got if marked on my calendar. I’m thinking of entering something in it, but I haven’t decided which build.

Nice early build Stug without the Saukopf mantlet and the concrete up armor sections. Although I like the side skirts the "shurtzen" but it's also always nice to see the running gear as well.
Working on to Tamiya's 1/35th scale M-26 Pershing in Marine markings from the Inchon invasion.

Cool. Post it up when you’re done. Is love to see it. I think I’ve got a Pershing in my stash. If not, I need to fix that.

I just think it is cool...![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcool.gif)

Somebody's going to catch a glimpse of your model room and accuse you of being a closet Nazi. Isn't this like the fourth or fifth straight German build?
Awesome stuff.

Actually no. This is my seventh model to finish on 2024. So far I’ve built 2 American tanks, 2 American aircraft, two German vehicles, and one German aircraft. Up next is a Japanese fighter.

Man, I swear some of your work looks like you reached back into a WWII battlefield, snatched up a tank or artillery piece, tossed it in your magical miniaturizer in the basement and then put it on display!
Damned fine work as always!![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
