New outlook for tomorrow. A moderate risk covers most of Ohio. The enhanced risk has been stretched a bit further south. Slight risk expanded, as well.

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Oklahoma and Texas until 9 PM CDT.

Widespread softball size hail and damaging winds up to 70-80 mph, with a few tornadoes likely. Stay weather aware.

fricking great.

We just moved out of our house into our 5th wheel for the next few months while the house is being remodeled.

Well, you are mobile with 5th wheel right?

And house is insured so if damaged you already have remodelers there.

In Tulsa metro…I may be way off, but today hasn’t been like the normal spring storm type of days. Not too awfully humid. It’s been overcast most of the day with sprinkles off and on. No sun at all today. Winds sometimes have a bit of coolness to them.

Damn again? Just happened a month ago north of Dallas. Sky is getting black here in Panhandle, but off to my east so hopefully it misses us.

Looks like West KY is gonna be spared the bad stuff. Showers and 25 mph wind gusts. It was 82 and humid today. Cloudy, but the Sun has popped out now.

Why are we not getting the severe weather lately? This is supposed to be prime time for Birmingham and Mississippi. Ohio and Oklahoma is more a June pattern

It is only April 1. And El Nino favors the areas we've seen severe up til this setup.

I'm still rebuilding my house from last year. So please stay to the North this year.

Does El Nino favor southeast or the midwest typically? And by favor, I mean promote severe weather in that location

It really depends on how much weight you put into the connections. There's some loose data that says it favors from like LA up to OK early in the season. That's kind of what we saw last year with the busy March. That's not as pronounced this year, though. So, there's not always a firm connection if you're looking at just El Nino.

NWS Norman
@NWSNorman

Storms have moved out of our area across north-central OK and we may see a brief lull (1/2 to 1 hr) before we see additional storm development along the cold front. Stay vigilent!
