Yep, but any umpire worth a shite knows that ball is VERY low and outside regardless of what the catcher tries to do after.

That is as blatant as it gets.

He didn’t though. He looked like a Parkinson’s patient framing pitches. The ump was either wholly incompetent or compromised.

Here is an easy cue for the ump. If the catcher has to drag a pitch a foot back into the zone, the pitch was a ball.

He had to move his glove up almost a foot to get it to his knees. Horrible call but LSU wasn’t getting that call

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, but he did frame it nicely. He catches the ball a few inches off the ground but his mitt is at least a foot higher when the ump makes the call.

Surprised he didn’t pop his shoulder out of socket jerking that ball back in 3 feet.

“Framing” it nicely would be very little to no movement of the mitt. He Framed it terribly, which is more of a reason this ump was a joke. The Catcher may need to get his rotator cuff checked.

Not really. Catchers need to be selective when they frame a pitch that is not in the strike zone. It needs to be somewhat close. Just like NBA players can't claim they were fouled every time they go to the rim, you can't frame every fricking pitch or you will never get the call. But this umpire was such an idiot that the ends justified the means.

Did he? He caught it sideways where the point of his elbow was visible to the ump then jerked the shite out of it halfway into the strike zone. It really wasn’t a nice frame which is even more embarrassing for the ump

Really?? An umpire with a clue would be laughing at a catcher raising a ball a foot and a half to try and buy a strike.

After pulling the ball a foot and a half back inside the zone:

Disagree. That's not "framing", that's jerking a pitch WAY out of the zone back into the zone. IMHO, framing is catching a pitch just out/on the black and moving the mitt back into the zone.
