Why is Biden saying feds will pay for bridge rebuild?

If there's already a post I apologize--I looked but didn't see one.
Shouldn't the shipping company have INSURANCE? Why would Joe immediately offer for the feds to pay for all of it? Could it possibly be because an insurance company would do a full investigation to see if they were actually liable? (if terrorism involved, I'd think insurance company wouldn't have to pay? Or would they?)

LOL @ thinking there will be anywhere near enough insurance to go around
Also, wasn’t the bridge destroyed due to interstate commerce? That’s basically the Feds job.

Election year promises that will never be fulfilled.

I say get the damned replacement built. It is something the feds can do well because the feds have big money. Then let the lawsuits fly. What will be of interest is how quickly they can rebuild the bridge. It should be our latest Panama Canal moment. Get it built well and fast.

So they can have their kickbacks. Feds pay a bloated bill to fix the bridge.. money back to politicians... Feds hands the bloated bill to insurance company and they say this is what we will pay... Feds say okay... Taxpayers foot the rest of the bill...

This is not new.
Biden is still a liar and every other word he utters is a falsehood.
Repairs to interstates and US highways has been partly been paid with federal monies for many decades now.
Most highway projects in Louisiana are mostly paid by the federal government, in the end it is our tax revenue that foots the bill.
xiden is still a liar and a deceiver.

quote:They're going to end up paying out the policy max limits and still be woefully short. They're going to be sued into oblivion by the families of the deceased and injured. The bridge itself is easily going to cost over a billion dollars to replace. Plus the costs to clear the debris from the collapsed bridge to get it out of the shipping channels. Plus businesses in and around the port that are forced to shut down until the port is operational again.
Shouldn't the shipping company have INSURANCE?
The bridge is part of the interstate system. The port handles interstate commerce. Doubtful that the city or the state has an extra $1-2 billion in extra cash just sitting around that they can use to get the bridge rebuilt ASAP. Biden does plenty of retarded shite on a daily basis, but this ain't one I can really complain about

An insurance claim will take years to settle, and the subrogation lawsuits could be in courts for decades.
This is a legitimate state of emergency and the Feds will have to step in.

Taxation is theft. My taxes should not be going towards the roads in our country, but alas the progressives run the asylum now and will keep stealing our money.

We’ll build it and then turn it over to Chinese administration?

You kiddin, right? This country is past horse and buggy days on dirt roads. Who should pay for our road systems if not by taxpayers?

I didn’t ask for most of these roads to be built. Why should I have to pay for them?
