It’s easy to spout an opinion when you aren’t responsible for any outcomes. Leadership requires compromise…and with a narrow majority requires more compromise.

Cool. Then don't pretend to be a man of God, and then prove yourself to be a fricking liar.

THIS. I am pissed at Mike Johnson for not shutting down the government, but his majority includes several cuck RINOs that were probably telling him they would vote with the Democrats to get it passed.

Have the presidency and a narrow margin -- need a bigger margin.

Have a large margin and not the presidency -- need the presidency

Have no margin and no presidency -- need the presidency and a majorty

Have no houses -- need at least one house.

Have one house and not the other -- need both houses.

Have the presidency and no houses -- need one house

Have the presidency and one house -- need both houses.

Have everything -- wait until after the election.

It's a never ending stream of fricking excuses. Anyone who claims "leadership" in this thread is a fricking joke. These people do not want to lead. They will do everything they can to not lead. They actually prefer to not have power, because it lets them off the hook for having to do anything.

Compromise ~totally do what you said you wouldn't do. Pass nonsensical budgets, pass CRs, fund foreign wars we aren't involved in, foreign aid money we don't have when SS money isn't resolved, ignore the American people's hardship until they finally have to come to the welfare scrap table, do nothing on the border crisis, don't fund the border wall, don't impeach those that actually need to be impeached because we suddenly need to "rise above", do anything else the democrats want so they'll vote to keep me installed.

Sound about right? Mike Johnson is capitulating to the democrats so that the republicans can't oust him. That makes him lead democrat with zero accountability to republicans. This was beyond what I thought the republican leadership would look like. I figured they would get nothing done and just sit lame. They are pretty much democrats. I'm amazed.

It's interesting how often we hear the word compromise when talking about republican politicians working with Dim politicians..... compromise is the wrong word, when Republicans in the House "reach across the aisle" a more appropriate word would be acquiescing, acquiescing to D.C. Uniparty Globalists.

He got nothing. Compromise implies he gave up something to get something.

This, especially when half of your own team has beliefs counter to your own. It’s nearly an impossible situation.
