Omg you people are so damn dumb! Woody ain’t firing his guy after 2 seasons in which his first season he had 0 scholarship players and was dealing with the ncaa sanctions! God help you people!

Woody and Mac created a 3 year contract.

Coaching change board got shut down too soon. We need a board to discuss if a coach that was fired from Vanderbilt should be LSU’s next coach because they beat a mid major team.

And were a 6 seed in the ncaa tourney retard.

LOL!!!!
You think he’s going to invest anything near that for men’s basketball? He has showed you that he does not care about men’s basketball.

Who were the five stars on that 21–22 team? I only know of one.

Good thing is Wade said he’d absolutely be back at McNeese next year. I think he’s waiting on LSU to reopen. We’re a sleeping giant and he knows it.

I don't think he has the funds to invest that would get anywhere near that. The job wasn't attractive 2 years ago. Can you imagine how much he'd have to overpay a good coach, in a good job, with options to uproot his family and move to Baton Rouge, LA if he fired a coach who took over the perceived situation McMahon did (no matter who you blame for the situation or where it actually was, the perception was the perception) and went from 2-16 in the SEC his 1st year to 9-9 in his 2nd?
Seriously, no matter your feelings on McMahon, Wade, or Woody, who--that you'd want--would actually consider this job if McMahon got fired today? And how much would you have to overpay them? We have some great players in program history, but nobody has proven you can win big consistently here yet. Only made 3 Final Fours in program history, never won a game in any, and the last one was in 2006. We're in a state that historically doesn't produce great basketball players. And now you'd be adding in zero job security. So I ask again, who would want this job if McMahon got fired today? I'd suggest it'd be nobody you'd want, much like it was 2 years ago.

I've seen you--and plenty others--say this over and over. Take your emotions out of it and try to explain this to me logically. Why would Woody care about every other sport in the Athletic Department except men's basketball? Why, when he and President Tate are so clearly "in alignment" that the athletic program is a window into the university--or the front door to it (whatever metaphor they use)--not care about the 2nd biggest sport nationally that LSU competes in? Use reason and make that make sense. I don't care how you "feel," use logic and reason to present your argument.

Someone who wants to make $3+ million a year would certainly consider the job. There are 350+ DI coaches out there, it’s not like there are 10 coaches.

He basically said LSU doesn't have all it's ducks in a row when it comes to basketball so not sure he thinks we're a sleeping giant.

The fact that OP thinks a program like ours can just nab a top 10 coach from a place where he just recently won a natty speaks to how delusional some of y’all are about the modern state of our basketball program.

He said Bryce not Scott.

How is Bryce a top 10 coach?

People who hold Wade having 5 stars against him is hysterical.
News flash, the ability to get those guys is what makes or breaks college basketball coaches. If you can’t recruit well enough to get them then that’s a mark against you.
