I guess the only silver lining takeaway would be to wonder what this bill would look like if Dems controlled the House. $3 trillion? $5T?

I will never vote for a Republican in a national election again

That is the biggest issue.
And it goes for all politicians whether they be Dems, MAGA or "RINOs". They're more invested in getting reelected than they are about the welfare and future of this country.
Every single one of them. Stop putting your faith and hope in someone like Johnson because "he's from Louisiana and he's a Christian". It doesn't matter. He cares more about your vote than your quality of life.

Yea. It would have already passed. But it would have been less spending. Delaying it did NOTHING but allow more money into the budget. I think it's up about $580 billion. I guess this is winning to you?
All I've seen since the R's have controlled the House or Senate going back to 2016 is ineptitude, enabling the Dims in their quest to fundamentally transform America and the majority of Americans are losing.

How many billion to Ukraine????
That's coming next. Mike Johnson stated he wanted to get this spending bill passed first and then move to funding Ukraine. So get ready for at least $60 billion. $12 billion of that is supposedly going to be an interest free, forgivable loan.
Democrats open to loan strategy for Ukraine aid
quote:
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Johnson said Ukraine aid remains a priority — “We understand the importance of sending a strong signal to the world that we stand by our allies” — but emphasized that he hasn’t landed on a set plan for moving it.
quote:
The House will address the issue “immediately” after Congress has funded the government, he said.
quote:
The wide belief is that of the $60 billion bookmarked in aid for Ukraine, only $12 billion is slated to be handed over to Kyiv directly, while the other $48 billion would go into the U.S. industrial complex for weapons. It’s that $12 billion that Republicans are eyeing for loans.

Daddy's money.
Just like Obama’s stash, it is not there. The FED will just print more or your children will pay when the bonds are due. And more than likely they will pass another round of bonds and their children’s children will keep kicking the can until the house of cards falls.

People like to blame the politicians. But the problem is us.
Not what people want to hear. But it’s the truth.

GOP leadership highlighted more money to hire about 2,000 Border Patrol agents.
At least spending for border security wasn't totally ignored.

I have no problem with Trump the person. Hes always been a character, a salesman. I treat him more like an actor than a serious person.
I have a real problem with people who take his random thoughts and turn it into this ideology, then try to impose that leftist crap on the rest of us.
Thats how you end up with runaway inflation and political stalemate.

I voted NO on today's minibus bill.
This bill affirms and funds Biden’s open border invasion. At this very moment, Biden is allowing illegal immigrants to pour across our border and is using your tax dollars to sow disorder and chaos in our communities.
Today, 286 members stood shoulder to shoulder to perpetuate this bipartisan sell-out of our nation’s future by passing yet another $1+ trillion spending bill.
The bill is also chock-full of earmarks that fund the radical left's cultural indoctrination crusade against our children and families. They are selling our children and grandchildren deeper down the swirling debt spiral.
Congress holds the power of the purse, but the Swamp has yet again forfeited that power and abdicated our leverage to combat Biden’s disastrous policies. Americans deserve better.
Woe betide the Members who voted for this atrocious bill.

I voted HELL NO on the omnibus after I spoke against it on the House floor today.
Because they suspended the three-day rule, our constituents can’t know all that’s in this bill. But we know it spends too much money.
@SpeakerJohnson needs to follow the rules, not subvert them.

I love how the "going slowly over the cliff" crowd finds this approach intelligent versus those actually trying to pull in the opposite direction.
This is why the nation went from a center-right nation just a few decades ago to a borderline socialist state flirting with authoritarianism more every day. Because it's "politically smart".
You want suicide? You're looking at a national one ongoing right now.

There is the problem. Most "republicans" aren't conservative. They're just mostly left-wing.

That will definitely solve the problem of only having a 5 or so vote majority.
