Pelicans' Brandon Ingram has suffered a bone contusion in his left knee. Fortunate diagnosis for New Orleans and its star forward avoiding serious injury, but Ingram is expected to miss at least two weeks.

hyperextending his left knee during the third quarter of last night’s game against the Orlando Magic.

The results of the MRI revealed a left knee bone contusion.

Ingram will be re-evaluated in two weeks

I'm crying tears of joy rn. An acl would be catastrophic for this team. Especially in the long run

Check out this tweet from the team. Have they ever given this much detail?

Not nearly as bad as it could have been, hopefully he recovers well and is back in 3 weeks.

I know it was the playoffs so people suck it up, but Giannis sat out a week.

Article on injury after the playoffs

Hopefully BI can take a good 3 weeks off and be ready to go. the 3 week mark would be Friday against GSW in the 2nd to last game. Would be nice if he could play the last two games, regardless of the standings just so he can get some run before the playoffs start.

2 weeks is great news. Its the dang re-evaluate that I hate. No sports organization has abused the word re-evaluate quite like the Pels.

We dodged a huge bullet. I hope the bursa sac didn’t receive too much damage. All in all thought great news. Probably will be out the rest of the regular season but this team can fight and hold on for BI. They just need to come together and Trey needs to step up.

I hope he's back by the game at Portland on April 9.
Will be my second Pels away game.

That's about the best Pels could have expected. Bone on bone is super painful and you can expect a lot of swelling. Pels emphasis should be improving defense (paint) and ball handling.

Paint defense was a sieve. First test after a light lunch schedule against a big front line didn't look good. Banchero, Isaac, and the Wagner boys dominated the paint. Trying to plug the sieve subsequently killed the perimeter D leading to a Magic 3pt fest. The ball-handling after jumping out to a good start in the first, was bad and turned the tide and it was a wrap after that, compounded by the injury.

Miami plays similarly to the Pels, with a lot of small ball stuff. Pels match up better and if they can clean up turnovers they have good odds to win. I'm not sure what Pels can do about paint defense ... Where's Karlo?

They’re bought in. Have solid depth. All bi has to do is rehab. Zion has only lost weight to pick up a little slack. There’s enough experience and talent to not skip a beat.

Two weeks to flatten curve
Two weeks to re-evaluate Zions Hammy

History tells us two weeks is code for 8 months
