This is a bit lame. In fraudulent transfer cases, the proof of a financial transfer to a lover would shift the burden of proof to the lovers to prove a legitimate exchange of assets. This is no different. The cash story was ridiculous & the burden shoulda been placed upon Willis.

Georgia is a bit tight in burden-shifting, btw, but the general rule is that when a party is in the best position to know what consideration (if any) was given for a sketchy transfer, the burden if explaining the facts is shifted to that party.

When you're a Democrat they let you do it. You can do anything.

The boyfriend can’t stay on the case.
There has never been any actual prejudice to the defense, in any event.

McAfee hates Trump. He gave money to Big Fani’s campaign. McAfee never had the fortitude to do what’s right and end the case. Hopefully the GOP makes sure McAfee never is promoted on the bench in Georgia.

MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann called on Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney prosecuting the election interference case against former President Trump and his allies, to resign from the case.
“[T]he established record now highlights a significant appearance of impropriety that infects the current structure of the prosecution team,” the judge wrote in his ruling.
Weissmann, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, said Willis should be the one to go.
“The key is how to go forward because clearly Wade is off, but I think that this is such a huge body blow, almost a fatal blow to Fani Willis,” he said during an appearance on “Morning Joe.” “I think the way forward is she has to voluntarily recuse herself. I don’t know that she has it in her, but I think she has to say I’m going to appoint a chief assistant who is going to oversee this case. She clearly has no credibility with this judge.” LINK

I'd just like it to be know in this thread that this Judge was vice president of the UGA Federalist Society chapter and treasurer of Law Republicans

Then this ruling is trash, correct?
No.
Her potential criminal liability for perjury has no bearing on the standards of the motion presented.

He's got the support of Georgia conservatives because he is the closest thing you'll ever get to one on the Fulton Superior bench.
He gave money to Fani Willis because everyone who leans right and is involved in Fulton politics did - she was running as the pro-policing alternative to Paul Howard who'd rung up multiple cops during the BLM riots, was notably corrupt and, as most will recall, inexplicably charged a cop with murder for the Wendy's shooting. That's why people supported Willis over Howard.

Logic has been abandoned by many.
When their grifter heroes let them down, they always revert to abandoning any logical (and sometimes factual) basis in their comments.

Perjury isn't the only criminality here.
She paid herself through her boyfriend with public funds.

Whatever criminal liability is part of a putative criminal litigation, and not this case.

The Defendants shot their load too early to establish this within the burden of proof. They did not have enough documentation to prove that Wade/Willis were lying. We presume they were lying because of credibility issues and not documentation.
