He wont and Ive accepted that. I just don’t understand why posters take that remark so defensively? For this team to realistically make sense he needs to- maybe on another team he doesn’t have to. We can’t just surround the team with role players who fill BIs flaws. Zion is just more efficient as a paint scorer than BI- thats reality too. Like I said this team is built weird.
I agree. That’s why he needs to go. Zion is your best player and BI doesn’t fit with him. Trying to find a stretch 5 who also protects the rim like Teddy is suggesting is like a looney toons cartoon where they keep trying to plug holes in the dam to stop the leak. And finding all of these magical pieces that make BI and Zion work together is much harder when BI is about to be making 50m/yr

Myles Turner has been available forever now. Didn't seem that hard for the Celtics, the best 3 point shooting team in the league and a tax team to go get Porzingis this offseason. Smart and 2 firsts? we have 1sts comign out our arse.
Thats 2 guys. Turner is not available and is a horrible rebounder.
KP was a gamble. It worked out for Celtics but not a gamble I would take. Smart was DPOY- would you trade Herb and 2 firsts for a KP type player??
They also were able to trade for Jrue to make up the loss of Smart.

I'm a BI fan. I'm a Zion fan. I'm a Pelicans fan. Why is it hard to like one of the 5-6 best players in franchise history, and the first that seems to actually want to be here?
To be fair I didn’t mean it that way. What I meant was your a fandom for a player should not overide whats best for your team. I love Jose but I don’t think he should be getting 30 minutes a night and playing over CJ. I also would not overpay Jose if it hurt our overall team as much as I love Jose the player. I feel some posters side with one player a little too often and it distorts the perspective of what the team actually needs.

Kinda skeered to get involved in this one but...just one question.
I wasn't around here...when BI first came to the Pels from the Lakers...so I'm totally in the dark on this...
When looking at BI's numbers, he obviously shot very few 3-pt shots at LA & shot a lousy % when he did shoot the 3... THEN...came to New Orleans & the first 2 seasons...suddenly shot up to a very efficient 39.1% and 38.1% on 3s while taking the 3s 35% and 34.1% of his total shots (6.6 & 6.5 per 36 minutes)
THEN...his 3rd year...he suddenly dropped down to where 23.0% then 19.6% and this year 23.6% of his shots were from 3-pt distance. My question...what changed? Usually once you figure out you can hit the 3 efficiently in your career, you tend to stick with it & don't go away from it...the way BI has. Just curious.

I just think he has gotten much better attacking the basket and hitting pull-ups. Frankly, his points per attempt are almost identical from 2 or 3, and they allow you to get into your set defense more often since they go in at a higher rate.

This is the question every pels fan wants to know and it’s frustrating knowing hes has the ability to do this. To me its just him and his mentality. He would just prefer to take the midrange over the 3. If he changes his shot profile similarly to what CJ has done this season- then this team would be very very difficult to stop.

Just a guess but his drop in 3PAs started the season zion missed the whole year and the year after he only played 29 games. I think BI got comfortable having the ball in his hands and not playing off ball looking for 3 point opportunities

Saw a start tonight that Cliipers are 4-10 against, OKC, Minnesota, Denver, and Pels.
