Huge snow events amaze me.
One of my favorite storm/weather chasers is James Reynolds, a Brit living in Japan. He documented a big sea effect blizzard a while back that he measured over 5ft in, and it was still snowing when he stopped measuring.
Here's the YouTube video of it
Some of his other videos show the specialized equipment they have for moving all that snow and clearing roads. Pretty cool rabbit hole.

Why are they even on the road? It was not a surprise….it was forecast days in advance.
