Fed is talking about reducing rates .....
At the same time ....this idiot is talking about spiking inflation by increasing taxes on Corporate America. Back to the 28% rate on Corporations and Personals two hundred thousand and above. Every Penney of those rate hikes will go onto the backs of the population.
In other words Joe .....The Cookie Monster gets fewer and smaller cookies.

Yea, he will make stupid comments, but has for months. What will sink him tonight, is the 10 seconds of pause/stuttering he will do while reading the fricking teleprompter. I’m legit going to watch tonight, just so I can tell others I witnessed his stroke live

You just know the Dims consider him a liability or he would have made his SOTU speech before election day two days ago.

Well then you simply print more money! Fixed
You will enjoy cereal for dinner even when it is $15 a box.

What rate hikes? We have a Republican House. Remember that the next time you (not aimed at you, blue) say there are no differences between GOPe and Democrats.

If the TCJA tax rates expire, most people will pay 5% or so more in taxes I gather - that's not being talked about enough. That's back breaking for people in this inflationary period.

Would love to know the medication cocktail they’ll have him on tonight

Tonight Jotato will be given a cocktail of drugs only administered as drugs of last resort to patients with severe cognitive impairment

If Trump does a live commentary, truth social will be the most entertaining broadcast.

They will pump him with enough Adderall to where he will make it through the speech fine. Its his message that will sink him.

That's not inflation.

No it won't.
Joe's economic policies are shite and so would raising taxes be, but not for the reasons you just named.
Contrary to an erroneous belief made popular by Neal Boortz, taxes don't necessarily get passed along to consumers. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that rarely happens.
A rise in fixed expenses (rent, materials, labor), yes, but taxes are not a fixed expense. They only cost you if you've already made a profit.
A company might raise prices as a response to a tax increase under certain circumstances, but likely not.
It's a shite idea because it will slow down the economy, but it's not going to cause inflation or cause prices to rise across the board.
