After the game Jay immediately mentioned he thinks of Frey as a starter and its jsut hard to get him AB at times.

With as much Pearson has struggled it's good to have a LH and RH option between Brown and Frey and can base that on starting pitcher if you will. Xavier's friday and sunday starters are righties but their saturday starter has been a lefty so maybe we see something then.

(This isnt me giving up on Pearson, but if we're obviously giving other guys shots, thats how I'd do it)

With Pearson struggling on defense and at the plate currently, I would not be surprised

CJJ said Frey “ had a huge hit right there. Needs to play more, I wish I could play him more, but I’m super proud of him bc he just keeps coming to work and he’s ready when stuff like that happens. And that’s our team. Really proud of him tonight.

His OF defense leaves a lot to be desired.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit. CJJ is still rotating some guys in and out to give guys chances.

Out of the five guys originally rotating, Milams rotating is done and he remains in the lineup. Braswell seems to be penciled in at SS, so that leaves Brown, Pearson, and Frey rotating at RF.

Pearson needs to pick up his .250 ba to remain in the rotation. Frey is super talented and will continue to get playing time, but I think CJJ values having a left handed bat in that spot since we don't have a ton of them.

Imo, and it's just my opinion, Frey (.230 ba and a small bit of a fielding liability) will get some starts but only take the position if he really really heats up at the plate like Joebert did last year.

CJJ will still give the left handed bats of Brown and Pearson plenty of opportunities to take the position also. I personally think Brown and his .333 ba and good play in the field has looked the best at the position and he is a left handed stick.

Pearson does have value in that he has been there before in Omaha, but he's got to start hitting and fielding better or he gets passed up by Brown.

Pearson is hitting .220 a year after hitting .220.

He dropped a flyball at Rice and whiffed on an outfield grounder yesterday.

It’s time to give everyone else a chance.

Pearson may just be a guy who is better right now as a PH / late game defensive replacement.

I agree, Bingham and Kling are not leaving the lineup and I personally think Brown has looked the best in RF and the plate.

At what point do we see what Larson can do? He is 4 of 6 at the plate I believe and he came here as an OF. We know what Pearson is, imo it’s time to see what Frey and Larson can bring to the table!

Hell your right. Larson might end up being the best of all of them!

Larson can flat out swing the bat. He was one of, if not the, best bats to reach college campuses.

I mean, did you see Frey screw up in the outfield at the end of last season? Let's not pretend he's a sure thing to be better than Pearson.

I’d like to see Pearson play in LF more. He seems more comfortable there and gets better jumps. He definitely has the arm for either position though.
