Sweet. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

I couldn't disagree more. I think people trying to lose weight that actually don't need to confront the reason they are "self-medicating" by binge eating are the outliers.

im saying the medicine forces you to confront those things and reduces the food noise

and from most accounts after stopping the medicine, the food noise may return but not nearly to the intensity as before.

don't totally disagree with you here, which is why I go back and forth so much. It's not so much jealousy. I don't want what anyone else has, truth be told. I'd like to personally be better. I think it's the fact, and this is me being as honest as I can, that I've identified myself as more strong-willed than these people and there's proof in my transformation. I think my real issue is that it lessens my external validation.

Like I said, I go back and forth. What I just described is a small part that gets to me. If we had to go to the polls to allow people to use this drug, I'm voting yes all day because I recognize the net positive effect it has.

i used to be the same way but then i finalyl realized not everyone has the same ubrinigng as me, the same toughness built or beat into them and that some people just cant get over it. their are certain mental functions i do not understand and i accept that

to i like that people are weak to an extent...frick no but i also understand it. unfortunately in LA the bigger effect on obesity is the culture. we have a culture that revolves around food and alcohol and many do not know how to function without pertaking in those things

f this medication goes south, they would be paying much much more than a few 100million.

True, but they could probably afford a couple of billion like pfizer.

quote:

Pfizer—$2.3 Billion

In 2009, major drug manufacturer Pfizer paid a $2.3 billion settlement over unlawful prescription drug promotions regarding its pain medication, Bextra. Allegations claimed that Pfizer’s sales teams created phony doctor requests for medical information in order to send unsolicited information to doctors about unapproved uses and dosages. In addition, Pfizer allegedly offered kickbacks and other benefits to doctors to entice them to prescribe its drugs.

quote:

A Louisiana federal judge on Friday largely rejected Novo Nordisk’s bid to dismiss one of the earliest lawsuits brought against the pharmaceutical company over side effects of its blockbuster drug Ozempic.
U.S. District Judge James Cain Jr said plaintiff Jaclyn Bjorklund had provided enough support at this point in the case for her claim that Novo failed to warn her doctors about the risk of gastroparesis, a slowdown in the emptying of the stomach into the small intestine, associated with the drug.

One of the funniest things that happened to my larger friend. In the beginning, after a few rounds of shots, he decided to eat a 5 Guys double bacon cheeseburger combo, and polish it down with the large fry. Dude puked and shite himself for about 2 hours.

Funny thing though, he's actually the one with the current biggest weight drop at around 120lbs. He's been consistent with his lifestyle change.

You're arguing semantics. People are dumb and lazy, especially in this country, and they won't make proper diet and exercise changes while using this for weight loss and will have negative body composition side effects because of it. Those same people would never have caloric deficits if it weren't for the drug.

correct...so what better...those that are forced to lose the weight and can keep it off enjoying the health and societal benefits or making those people be fat because people dont want them to use the medicine for whatever reason?

what better for the country as a whole? overall health care cost? overall health of the country?

So if I wanted to drop about 20-25 lbs without changing my lifestyle Ozempic would work for me?

yea good luck with that.

the medicine is designed to punish those who refuse to make lifestyle choices and why so many have issues.

like was stated...polish off a large pizza on it and good luck the next 3-4 days. you are going to hate life

now..have 1 piece, a 6oz piece of lean meat and some green veggies...prolly be ok

3 or 4 pieces you gonna learn today son!

this is exactly what im talking about when i say the medicine is designed to punish those who refuse to get in line as far as lifestyle change goes

but unfortunately what happens is sme still refuse...ramp up the dose and dont eat at all and this is where you see the claims of it burns muscle etc

I warned him too. I laughed so hard. It was like the Ipecac challenge, with a dose of fast acting laxatives.

Don't assume there are factors beyond society's control, ie, how much our food is being messed with, microplastics, endocrine disruptors, etc.

Before all the crazy comments, I know of 3 people that used it, dropped a ton of weight, and also changed their lifestyle completely. They are now fitness fanatics.

I know 3 dudes who used it to get back in shape instead of steroids(they use to be big into the juice). So there's that.

You think if I get on one of these medications, my home cooked to perfection medium rare ribeye steak is gonna punish me like that 5 Guys situation?

Nahh just don’t eat a Herbert’s twice stuffed potato with it. And 6-8oz will suffice instead of 12-16oz.

Okay what about this.

I'll eat better but still drink excessively and avoid the gym?
