Only way "justice" is served is if Baldwin gets charged with something. Sure I understand where the armorer screwed up but all parties in charge of that weapon that were in possession are at fault.

Baldwin was indicted by a grand jury on involuntary Manslaughter charges again in January 2024.

Trial is set to start in July.

Now let's put the guy who actually pulled the trigger behind bars.

Agree, but doesn't the guilty verdict on the armorer help his chances of walking?

No. He has alleged culpability as well for his actions that also lead to the death and assault.

The “but for” test isn’t reliable. Pulling the trigger has little to do with culpability in this case.

Ignoring the fact that he pulled the trigger, he is the executive producer who is responsible for the set. And there were previous complaints about the safety on set.

So yea,he's culpable to manslaughter.

Pointing the gun at a person against protocol is the issue. They will claim that he didn't pull the trigger and the gun misfired, but that's not the main issue.

If I am remembering correctly I think the FBI destroyed the gun in the process of trying to get it to fire on its own with not one misfire

She loaded the gun, she brought the loaded gun to the church, she handed the loaded gun to Assistant Directoe David halls after allegedly performing a safety check for him, he handed the gun directly to Alex Baldwin who proceeded to point the gun at someone (outside of protocol) and pulled the trigger (wasn't even a shooting scene).

For some reason I just had a flashback of the scene in True Lies where Jamie Lee Curtis drops a pistol down some stairs and the misfires kill like 15 bad guys.

I think Baldwin murdered her intentionally.

I don't know much about this case, so I have a question: Was she supposed to make sure the gun was clear of rounds all together? Or were they going to use live blanks and she accidentally let a real round slip in?

Was it a revolver or automatic?

Agreed. A lot of people on here will disagree with you though. They are of the mindset that Baldwin is “too stupid” and doesn’t understand firearms, therefore he shouldn’t face any repercussions.

Why would we hold an actor liable? He’s an actor and he’s handed a gun as a prop with blanks or dead bullets, in it, by a supposed “expert” and is told to use it and point it at people or camera and pull the trigger as part of the scene. How is he committing any crime - intentional or negligent?

IMV, the right person, the armorer, is being held accountable.

There were not supposed to be ANY live rounds on set. She was supposed to be loading the gun with dummy rounds.

The gun in question was a Pietta 1873 Single Action Revolver chambered in .45 Long Colt

He was not supposed to be pointing at anyone. There are special safety protocols to be used if a gun is going to be pointed at people.

He's not an actor. He is the producer and responsible for everything that happens on set. Also he hired the inexperienced armorer.

That's not why he's been charged.

I found it odd Ms Gutierrez kept the ammo loose in her fanny pack.
