I'm beginning to drink the kool-aid from a lot of the talking heads that OL may not be as big a target in this draft as we fans think it should be.

A lot of chatter about DE and offensive weapon with the 14th and 45th picks.

Maybe just smoke being put out but we all know this is a deep OL class and they appear to be feeling like they can address the Oline with a FA veteran(Maybe keeping Peat) and mid round prospect to compete and seeing what the new staff can do with the young talent they already have on roster.

I can say I'd be disappointed with this strategy as I feel the majority of the problem was scheme and coaching the last 3 years.

they know the players better than we do. i can see peat manning LT and they prolly see something in saldiveri. maybe they have designs on penning at LG or RT. the problem with this OT class is that only a couple at the top played LT in college. all the rest are great RT that for some reason didn't play LT in college.

eta: i think brian thomas is the truth and would be excited to nab him at 14.

the fact they resigned winston and cam says they have not changed at all and arent serious about improving the team

expect to be greatly disappointed with the selections made

Waste a first round on a lineman that will never play or will be hurt, etc. that’s my expectation

I think they'll look for picks to give Kubiak pieces to implement in the new offense. If a dynamic tight end is on the board in our first or second picks, I could see us going with Bowers or Sanders from Texas. I'd keep an eye on McCaffrey out of Rice in the fifth since Kubiak has a pretty strong connection to that family.

They need help everywhere. Take the best player and be ready to take a QB if one is there.

It would be more exciting if they went pass rush at 14 and grabbed Ladd at 45…if he even makes it there.

But I can’t imagine they’re not going to at least go after someone at LG if they stick Peat at LT

I would love Brian Thomas Jr! Quiet superstar at WR, has the size Olave and Sheed don't have.

We are going for the rare double first round trade down yes The double trade down.
At 14 it should be easy. Bowers, BTJ and the #1 or #2 CB could all be there. Trade with Cinny at 18.
Then at 18 trade with Detroit.
Then at 29 pick a Darius Robinson DE or BPA.
This would net us around two seconds, one 3rd and two 4th rounders.
Easy!
