If I remember correctly it was not very good. I for one did not know too much about him. I think everyone's perception on Miles changed during the Florida game last year when he flexed his cojones.

Better than the Chizik hire. Most were cautiously optimistic, some were forlorn.

Chizik seems to be universally hated.

Me...

Initially: who?

After some research: Well, he's had some big wins over teams much better than his, and has had some success in a major conference... we'll see.

Not really sure overall - douchebags are usually the loudest so thats all you usually hear.

Me personally - I thought that it could be a good hire as it was coming from the same formula with which we got Saban, who was/is a good coach. That formula being - a coach who took the little brother school in a state and did well both overall and against big brother.

"WHo?" then again, when they hired Saban, I said, "Who?"

Meh I will give the man a shot. He's told me what I wanted to hear the past two days but we will see if he follows through. Loved the guy as a coordinator just a little lukewarm over him as HC

About the same reaction after they hired Saban. "Who? Hope he's good."

Damn good hire both times.

I thought it was a good hire as long as he put together a good staff.

That's pretty much what I thought. I thought he was a coach with upside, but at the time I wished we had made a bigger splash.

This guy just lost five of his last seven games by a combined 83 points!
He blew a 28 point lead to Texas!
Bertman's going cheap.
