A) Not significantly.
B) Meyer built whatever it was 2008 instead of inheriting it from someone else.
C) 2008 to 2009 is one year, not two.
D) 13-1 is better than any record Les Miles has ever had.

A) They went from kicking the shite out of everyone but Ole Miss to barely beating a lot of the SEC, and getting the shite kicked out of them by bama. Their offense suffered and Timmy T couldn't cut it under center. Why let it decline more?

B) Zook recruited well. Meyer inherited that.

C) Again - why let it decline more? You are the one that wants to nip it in the bud before it gets too far gone.

D) But it isn't better than any record that Urban Meyer has ever had, and it includes the thrashing by bama. It is a decline. Nip it in the bud.

See where I'm going? Let the man fail before calling him a failure. The UT equivalent of rantards wanted to fire Mack Brown before 2005. People can improve. No need to label him a tragic failure due to a few improvable faults. If everyone operated like that, you and I wouldn't have jobs.

Nuts4LSU would recommend firing Urban Meyer now. The program at Florida has obviously declined from 2008 to 2009.

This scares me, but I'll be brave and fight on. Your 12,000 posts tell me "back off man, he's scalped many a ranter within those posts, he's obviously an internet alpha-dog." But fuggit.

Nick Saban - wasn't first choice. Remember, Rich Rodriguez turned them down before Saban. I came up with that name right off the top of my head without any real thinking about it. If I remember correctly, there was a long list of declines making it a debacle. There were even jokes like "Honk your horn if you've turned down the Alabama job". You don't remember that though - before your last movement. If you don't think the revolving door at bama's HC position had anything to do with all of the turn-downs, you're sadly mistaken.

The rest of your list there is made up of coaches who replaced bad coaches. None of the replacees had a resume even close to what Miles has done at LSU.

Oh, and the raiders - you seriously don't think that the recent past has anything to do with why they hire dipshits like Lane Kiffin now? Al Davis can afford any coach he wants. Why doesn't he get them? Because they know how he treats HC's.

No school or team in sports history has ever been turned down by a coach because of how his would-be predecessor was treated. Not a single one, ever.

See Raiders, Oakland. And that's just off the top of my head, without really trying that hard. I realize that the raiders haven't had to change coaches since your last bowel movement, so I don't really expect you to remember it.

an angle ...

This takes the ability to think past your next bowel movement. Think any of the tards are capable of that?

SEC COACH ON THE HOT SEAT

...

Russ Mitchell - None
It’s not Les Miles; not if LSU cares about its future for the next decade. Park the passion and just think about it for a sec. If LSU pulls the trigger on a coach with (i) a few decent if not spectacular seasons with two inexperienced, sophomore QBs and a two new DCs, (ii) six straight top 15 recruiting classes, (iii) is the only Tiger coach to beat Florida, Alabama and Auburn in a single season, ever... and he’s done it twice, (iv) produced a good graduation rate, and (v) is just three years removed from winning it all, riddle me this: what top flight coach is going to step into that nightmare? What kind of bar are you setting? So you’re saying you can accomplish all Miles has to this point (including the 2007 NC), lose your DC, have decent seasons with those rookie QBs, and you get fired??? Good luck finding a truly A-list coach to take his place ...

You forgot - "Get off my lawn."
Greg (Gerg) Robinson got fired as the HC at Syracuse, DC at Michigan this year.
Good Lawd!!! Why did we stop feeding him the ball?
Its on the master list. Check www.lsudenver.com.

re: Interesting stat line

I like the stat, but I think that they've played teams with a little better offense than the ones we've played. Vandy, MSU, ULL don't match up to USC, ARK, and ASU offensively.

Let's hope I'm wrong.
Hey whats the difference between Brett Farve and ...

... Oh nevermind.
So we probably wouldn't see any threads about LSU on your board, right?

Not really sure overall - douchebags are usually the loudest so thats all you usually hear.

Me personally - I thought that it could be a good hire as it was coming from the same formula with which we got Saban, who was/is a good coach. That formula being - a coach who took the little brother school in a state and did well both overall and against big brother.

I would sure as hell hope his parents would have the balls to lead him in the right direction and help him way the pros/cons.

Yeah, well, hope in one hand and shite in the other. See which one fills up first.

You have a great view of how it SHOULD be, but no vision into how it IS or COULD BE. arse-U-ME.

What did you see in Stanford last year and Oregon state this year that convinced you they could beat USC?
Moustache - I agree that there were issues on D. Just to make this a more balanced post, can you post a few positive things about the game? That way people won't think that you're a miserable a-hole ALL of the time. Or are you?

Gimme 3 positives... go.
Brooklyn's. The alumni association is the largest collection of LSU / Louisiana people in Colorado for the games.

Of course, if you want to avoid other LSU fans, you can watch the game in Highlands Ranch or Lodo with the other douchebags.
