Is Tasmin Mitchell good enough to play in the NBA?

I would guess that he's probably not NBA material, but he's a solid college player.

at this point, it doesn't look like it, but if he stays another year, he could progress.....its kinda sad because he prob had more draft potential after his freshmen year

He was always gonna be a tweener no matter when he came out. He's too small for the post and not quick enough/not enough ups for the wing. He's a solid college player, but if he wants to go pro, he better start looking across the Atlantic.

I didn't think that Glen Davis would make it in the NBA. I was dead wrong. I hope that Tasmin can make it. I agree that he can progress by staying in school another year.

But Glenn had the ability to score the ball. Tas has never shown that he can score big and do it consistently. Glenn's size also gave him value as a low-post defender and rebounder. Tas can fill neither of those roles.

i hope he comes back or else we will realllllllly suck next year

If he wasn't so passive, yes he would have a chance.

Just like a pro basketball player in the last year of a contract, that is what Tasmin is going through now with this being his senior year. If he averages 13 pts. and 8 boards with a few assists and steals per game he will get an NBA tryout and probably make a squad.
If he's first team SEC he might actually make a squad in the NBA but chances are he will play overseas and still be a millionaire in 4-5 years if he makes 200-250K per year. He is bigger this year so that will help his stock. Is Tasmin Mitchell good enough to play in the NBA? Yes. Will he? The jury is still out and I wouldn't put it past him because he has always had heart. He's the type that gets his points and rebounds but nobody notices because he does it so effortlessly. I like Tasmin.

B.S. Elleshoe don't know hoops. Stick to football dude. Glenn will be there for at least 8 more years.

Tasmin doesn't have the range or ball handling ability necessary to have a real chance in the NBA. He might get a work out or two, but if he wants to make $$ playing pro ball his best bet is Europe.
On a different note, I went to Walk Ons for the Trent Johnson show tonight and was (unfortunately) not surprised at the lack of turnout. There wasn't even a single call to the show the entire hour.

He could end up with a brief NBA career similar to Ronald Dupree. They are similar in size and athletic ability. Unfortunately at the NBA level there are scores of guys like Tasmin who are very good college players but don't have anything unique about them to stand out above the rest.

This is not his senior season. He is a redshirt junior after missing all but three games to injury last year.
His college stats will have no impact on his NBA future.
Agree that he plays effectively without a lot of fanfare.

Where are all those fans who were going to flock back to the program when LSU made a coaching change?
