I would be pissed the F off if I thought I was moving to a retirement community and after living there for a few years.... they now allow families with kids, teenagers and and allow adults under the retirement age to move and live there. That's some bullshite if you ask me.

Old people like being around young people
They're probably not as pissed (or as retarded) as you

Really? So this must have been a thing for awhile

I haven't met many old people who dislike kids.
Most just want the amenities of a retirement community, along with a decent amount of people their age.

The villages is like 200,000 people isn’t it? It’s massive. At some point when you have that many retirees you have to have a large support system.
Eta: so it’s about 80,000. But I’m sure the entire area is larger also.

The Villages city board is smart enough to figure out that the retirees will eventually die off

Uh those old retired people need young people living around them to provide services

I think they're just trying to drive down the STD numbers by bringing in fresh blood.

No bro it’s just like the retirement home in The Twilight Zone movie from the 80s. They just pretend they’re young and handle everything themselves.

Yea!! I am sure they are going to enjoy the increased crime, vandalism, trash, loud music, listening to basketball goals in the neighbor's driveway, kids out screaming all day during summer break.
Yea, I am sure people worked their entire lives to want to put up with all that shite.
If it's anything like the neighborhood I lived in Alpharetta (ATL suburb) it's miserable during the summer break with kids screaming every day in the neighborhood like you hear at the beach with kids screaming all day.

The high school is for the kids of the workers that work at the villages.

Those rich old men are probably sick of fricking Gilfs and want some MILFS.

A good friend and colleague of mine lives on the Villages. Too crowded for my taste, but super nice place.

I think it'll be more like this:

No one asked you and I am sure the old folks welcome some youth.

Oh yea man I am just fricking livid man.. I tell ya man, I am just so upset by this.
Give me a fricking break. .
All I am saying is that if my dream was to retire and live in an active retirement community with people my age, I would be pretty pissed off if all of the sudden they started allowing families with kids to live in the retirement community where I decided to retire to
Let's pretend 2 or so years ago... you invested your retirement savings and bought a house in a retirement community where you wanted to be around people your age and live an active lifestyle with people your age..... and then 2 years down the road, that same retirement community turned into a normal fricked up suburb and then started having the exact same problems that the suburb where you just moved from started having in the place where you retired to.
So now, you decide to try to sell your house and nobody will buy it because people don't want to retire in a place that had just turned into another American suburb town.
You wouldn't be upset by that?

Who cares if Boomers are upset? Their time in the sun is over. Just enjoy the SS checks and watch reruns of NCIS
