MAGA overestimates their importance and has no clue how government works.
They believe because they are the flavor of the day, they get everthing they want. Politics dont work that way.

This is by far the most material comment in the thread. And not all too surprisingly one of the least noticed. The concepts of negotiation and compromise are some of the nastiest terms to possibly be used amongst us here, yet there is just about zero evidence that can ever be accomplished without them. Ever. Since the founding of our country. But no one wants to acknowledge the reality. In fact this flaw amongst us is perhaps one of the most significant ones that obstructs any progress whatsoever. And I’m sorry but it’s simply not possible for all sides to cross their arms, go to their corners, poke out their bottom lip and refuse to move until they get all of their demands and wishes. Grown men must come together and work out a path forward, for the entire country. No one will ever get everything they want. This should’ve been a primary lesson we all learned very, very early in life.

Their constituents arent you. Its those in their district.
