Kendall Beckwith is one of the more under-appreciated LB’s at LSU. He was an absolute stud at ILB and anchored the middle of our defense.

The difference in our defense when he was on the field and when he was not on the field was night and day. I still remember in the 2014 Alabama game that our defense was stoning Bama’s offense when he was in. As soon as DJ Welter came in to replace him, Bama started making big plays and driving down the field.

I honestly think he was our best ILB of that decade. Devin White was great and has had a better NFL career, but I think Beckwith was more impactful in college. I know many will not agree with that, but that’s my opinion.

Agreed on all fronts. He was amazing. He is the nephew of someone that works for me. Love that guy. Good luck young man.

Kevin Minter was better. Both were solid though.

If it wasn’t for his injury he woulda been more well thought of and played longer in the league.

Was a real travesty that dj welter was getting reps ahead of beckwith. We could all see that beckwith was the guy. Except for Lester of course ??

He was the crown jewel of that 2013 recruiting class wasn’t he?

I agree with most of this but I personally thought Kevin minter was better and was going to take the nfl by storm.

Same thing I thought of Kwon Alexander, I thought both were severely underrated and were going to be nfl hall of fame type players at least be all pro a bunch

The 2017 Florida and Auburn games were taken over by Devin White. Those were two of the best single game performances I’ve seen from an inside backer.

Beckwith’s 2014 season when he got inserted made a difference and he was dominant against Ole Miss but I don’t think he was better than White in college.

Great post, but Kevin Minter was awesome. His game vs Florida although a loss stands out as one of the best lb games of all time. That guy is def all time underrated players

I feel like everyone has forgotten Michael Brockers; second team all SEC and went on to an 11 year lucrative nfl career

I agree he was very underrated. Did he ever make it to the NFL? I don’t remember hearing him do anything?

Ron Brooks was super under appreciated. Made plays from his freshman year on.

If it weren't for a few serious injuries, he would've had a great pro career.
