You know what’s fun? Expecting to be disappointed every night. My expectations are so low that I don’t even get upset when they lose. It’s like not if but when will the team blow a double digit lead.

Honestly I just don’t understand Willie continuously giving him minutes.

Because Zeller is even more unplayable than Billy was in that role last year.

Jonas should definitely have played more tonight, and that's on Willie, but bringing in Zeller was such a retarded decision by Griff to the point where Nance has to be the back up 5 no matter how terrible he is now.

Or the fact we have draft picks and Griffin just sat there picking his nose instead of upgrading the position during the deadline.

Jose and Naji showing just how valuable they are in the regular season

They have crazy good net ratings for the season. Miss a game, and the bench is a bunch of dude with -20s tonight.

Willie loves having 2 timeouts in his pocket with 10 seconds left when the game is over. Zion got up to check in at the 2 min mark in the 3rd and never got in.

That was as poor of a coaching performance as I've ever seen. With the team falling apart in the 3rd, Zion was standing at the scorers table for the final 3 minutes of the quarter waiting to check in. No timeout to settle the team down. No timeout to get Zion back in. No challenge on terrible charge call on Zion or the awful blocking call on Herb.

I want to like Willie, but it's becoming inexcusable game after game.

We’ll lose in first round and Griffin wont extend Willie. It’s extremely apparent we need coaching to be an asset to this team not a detriment. I’m sure Griffin is seeing this crap as well.

But... I mean... do we even trust Griff?

This will be his third coaching hire and he's been with the team for 5 (?) years.

I've been out on him for a while.

Probably not but Griffin’s grip on this team is becoming close to Loomis grip with the Saints. I think Griffin will be able to do whatever he wants especially with our ownership.

Fair question. If he extends BI this offseason I am most certainly out on Griff.

It could have easily been corrected at the trade deadline. Between Kira, Seller, and Liddell, we had 9 1/2 million dollars of tradeable salaries from players who would never be asked to contribute. It was a decision to not improve.

They are not moving on from Willie .

Y’all have to find someone else to direct your ire.

Imagine having all these assets to improve and be like nah we’re good. The more I see Griffin operate- the more credit I give to Lebron to forcing trades to help the Cavs win. Heck, I think Demps with these assets would have done better.

frick I hope so.

If only these were the options though:

1. Make playoffs and lose in the first and no change. Willie is extended, BI is extended and JV is extended.

2. Lose in the playin and Wille gets fired, BI is traded.

I know which option I am taking.

If this was the case they would have extended him already. They’ll resign BI, let Willie walk and get a new coach to make Zion/BI work.

Right, which is why a new coach doesn't excite me.

From what he says in his media avails and the (lack of) trades he has made the last two years, I really think he believes that the current makeup of this team can compete in the west, which is laughably ignorant.

It just feels like he will keep making little tweaks here and there until we get to the end of Zion's contract when we'll have to blow it all up and start over, hoping we get lucky in the lottery once again.

Thankfully, that's the one thing we've been good at it in our franchise history!

Ironically, the last two top picks we've had still haven't lived up to the standard that our first #4 pick set.

It's just sobering that since we got the Hornets to move to New Orleans, we have probably been the worst run NBA franchise in the time since... I guess the only franchise that is close to us is, ironically, Charlotte.

It obviously didn't help that the franchise we got was owned by a loser like George Shinn who was using the team as a source of income, so we were pretty much screwed from the start. But we've only been to the postseason eight times since 2003, with only two first round series win to show for it and we're about to embark on our 9th coach and our fourth in seven seasons.

It's just becoming painfully apparent that winning basketball is unsustainable in this market.
