I love Jay Johnson but today he laid an egg and didn't feature his supposed great pitchers

Guys: this is not the only OOC team we will lose to. Stay steady for the long run.

I immediately assume anyone blaming this on the pitching is an incurable moron.
So congrats on that I guess.

Stony Brook isn't a contender so why didn't he feature our best pitchers

Are you blaming this game on the pitching staff? We still have 2 more games left to play

It’s a 4 game early season series not a one game national championship

As the season progresses, he'll find out who he can rely on. Right now, he's trying to get everybody some work in different situations, just like all the other position players.
It's unlikely any team in college baseball has their pitching roles set in stone right now. It's a process that doesn't happen over night. It's always been that way and always will.

Who would have guessed that you would be complaining about our 1st loss? I'd be more surprised if you didn't.

How about only 2 runs on 6 hits?
Or being out hit by Stony Brook 10-6.
This is an offensive loss plane and simple.

What’s the number that we are expected to score each game? And what’s the number we are expected to give up?
Posted on 2/23/24 at 6:49 pm to TackySweater
Definitely more than 2. We gave up 4.8 runs/game last year. 5 runs is a pretty avg number to give up for a good team. Not great, but also not anything you shouldn’t be able to overcome the vast majority of the time

You do know we’ve pitched 18 guys so far in this young season. Or do you not check stats before just posting and rambling?

You’re such a miserable person.
