I’d watch more if most of it wasn’t behind fricking Apple TV.

J League starts this week too, 4 matches a week are free on YouTube.

OCSC thrashing Cavalry in CCL tonight in Canada. Hopefully make it 2-0 against Canadian teams this week against Montreal on Saturday.

Pretty telling how this match got almost zero coverage
shite this thread wasn’t even started until over an hour after kick off
I honestly think people have Inter Miami fatigue
It’s to the point it’s probably turning people off on MLS. It’s been non stop Miami Miami and Messi . Everything on every social. The league should be celebrating its champion on opening night not a team that finished towards the bottom. The league trying to claim Messi’s ballon d’or is pathetic. Apparently Miami got into roster compliance just hours before the match but who knows how long it will last with another big time transfer from Argentina about to happen.
Also doesn’t look like season pass will be free again for T Mobile so there goes a huge chunk of viewership. Also the league is pulling the same stunt as last year by putting 90% of each weeks matches in the same time blocks and not spreading them out to increase viewership.
There has been zero reinvestment of the injections of cash due to Messi. No expanded rosters, yet increased fixtures. We saw ticket prices increase though directly from the franchises though so they can charge you 5 x FV to see Messi. That’s if you are lucky and they don’t hit the secondary market.
Then of course we have the US Open cup shite show. Lots of people are not going to support a league trying to kill off soccer in America so it can become the single focal point and controlling entity.
The latest example of MLS kicking itself in the dick is this fiasco with officials. The league and owners are so cheap they don’t want to pay professional referees. So the league is being officiated by amateurs.

I think a big part of it is that it’s “cool” to have Messi fatigue. It has been going on for years.

From your lips to God's ears. If you were to only follow MLS marketing you would think Miami is the only team and MLS season doesn't matter just League's Cup. These assholes didn't even put the US Open Cup with the Dynamo players in the preseason cartoon press release, but put every other trophy.

Columbus - Atlanta kicking off this weekend's set of games. Looks like a decent crowd for the match as well.

In two months they will struggle to fill the lower bowl
Posted on 2/25/24 at 6:26 pm to StraightCashHomey21
They led the league last year so I doubt it unless you were referring to the Panthers.

Don Garber sucks. Not much else to be said
Posted on 2/25/24 at 6:35 pm to WhoDatNC
If they suck
The new shine will wear off
Sorry can’t take them serious while playing in an NFL stadium on turf.
The owner is a POS
