57 and the same situation.
I am 57 and dont have any health issues at all other than being a fat arse right now.
I sleep a maximum of 5 hours a night and have for 30 damn years. I just cant sleep. I dont know why and I am tired of fighting it
If all I can sleep is 5 hours a night, then that is what it shall be. Just sick of trying to figure it out

I sleep 1 hour at a time lately, then I have to pee again. Sometimes when I get up in the morning and need a hot shower for nausea I will pee before stepping into the shower, then the shower triggers a 2nd time and sometimes before I get out a 3rd.(I drink a lot of hot tea for my stomach)
How long I do the up every hour then back down? sometimes from 7-8pm to 5am.
Respect your elders. Even in this land of plenty just staying alive can be a struggle. I don’t know how people make it to 80-90, I’ll be lucky to make it to 75 according to my doctor.

I sleep like a baby for 7-8 hrs most nights thankfully, other than having to take a leak at 3am. Every once in awhile I have difficulty getting back to sleep good after that.

7-8. I try to be in the bed by 10:30 and up at 6:30.
I struggle with having a few drinks staying up too late for no good reason and throwing everything off.

I sleep about 8 hrs per night. 10-6. Plus I take a cat nap for about 15 min around 2.
49 yo and I lift heavy weights almost everyday day at the gym.
If you aren’t sleeping well trying getting more exercise.

I’m a 7-8 hour sleeper on weekends, 5-6 hrs on weekdays. Reading books helps me fall asleep really fast. If i’m in bed and try to read a book i can barely make it past two pages without falling asleep lol

Sorry to hear, and I understand your situation. I had to get back on Ambien, and that bothers my ego. Some work shite is currently driving me nuts. But it does help in the short term.
My sleep app - AutoSleep - using iWatch. It is detailed and can help you spot trends. For example, I was asleep for 6:56 hours last night with 4:52 of quality sleep. When not using Ambien, I take Magnesium Glycenate (sp?), no food or water within an hour of putting my head on a pillow. I also read for about an half hour with no computer use an hour before bed. I work out with resistance training 4 days a week and am 52.
Sleep is CRITICAL. Our hormones are produced/managed while we sleep especially testosterone. Little sleep, less testosterone production. If you read up on it, testosterone is critical for almost everything. Also, read up on all the crap in food and in plastics that attacks testosterone. You will feel better and spend more time in the gym if you dump that crap.

I work night shift 3-4 times a week, but flip my schedule every time to spend time with the family. I usually get around 6-7 hours, but would love to get to 8 hours. I supplement with magnesium, melatonin, gaba, and l-theanine.

I’m usually asleep between 10:00 & 10:30 and normally up at 6:30. So, normally between 8 & 8.5 hours.

Solid 5.5-6 and it has been like that since I was a child. Close my eyes and I'm out.

I had always slept like a champ until I hit around 40 (7-8 hours), then I would wake up several times and not go back to sleep easily.
I noticed working out (one where I sweat) makes a huge difference. The only times I sleep through the night is after 30-40+ mins of cardio - weights don't make a difference.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same or if the ones with issues have tried working out.

4-7 and not for lack of trying. I’m 43.
The sleep hygiene thing is largely bullshite for me. I often sleep longer when I just fall asleep watching something on tv. If I fall asleep around midnight I’ll often sleep straight until 5/6. When I’m making a conscious effort to do all the right things, I sleep less
I can fall asleep pretty easy but I wake up no less than twice every night when I go to bed at 10-11. Usually 3-4x. A lot of it is when I roll to my side and my hand goes numb from laying on my shoulder with arm up in my sleep, especially in second half of night.
I lift 5 days a week and do cardio 3x. Walk 10-15k steps at my job daily so it’s not for lack of activity.

I get 7. Sleep is super important to health, especially to ward off dementia. I take the Andrew Huberman “sleep cocktail”. You can find it on Amazon. I used to have trouble falling asleep, not any. Make sure you don’t eat or play on electronics 2 hours before bed. Get early morning sunlight. Go listen to Huberman podcast on the topic of sleep. Best of luck!
