A friend of mine told me they were warned that these 1st Amendment Auditors were coming to stand outside their place of employment and film them for, you know, freedum and stuff. I was like, hu da frick? Turns out this is a real thing. Can you say FED, FED, FED?
Sorry this WaPo article gave you AIDS

Yes most of them are dbags but why would a fed show people what their first amendment rights are? Stupid post. Post less please

Joke missed. You do realize that half the "insurrectionists" at Jan 6 were fed operatives and Antifa. This is organic as chickens with the Pfizer vaccine.

Like em or not they do prove a point how people don’t know their rights

First Amendment Auditor videos will make you pine for police brutality.

Yeah but since when do patriots show up at a law enforcement stop with MASKS?!? That's not us.
Posted on 2/20/24 at 7:07 pm to mjfrog93
Pussies that should have been bullied more in high school. But somewhere a few decades ago, bullying became uncool.

If you think this is somehow a means to prevent Police brutality, I don't know what to tell you. A dude with a mask on shining light on a routine traffic stop isn't going to fix your hatred for the men in uniform. And the place of employment I referred to isn't "police" at all. Seriously, what side are you on?

Some of them are dickbags, but they do highlight important issues, like LE not knowing the law - and that's important.
When they haul you into court they'll say that ignorance is no excuse - yet they are ignorant of the law themselves.
These guys are abrasive, but the take home point is that we shouldn't need them highlighting such glaring deficiencies to begin with.

They are just agitators. Their goal is to piss you off and get attacked, then sue you.
Same as the people preaching outside sporting events. They are just hoping to be assaulted so they can sue.

Geez, the point is, they want to shine light on all these things we supposedly hold dear, but by wearing masks?! This isn't how we hold people accountable. This is how we validate hate groups like ANTIFA. Go ahead and cheer on the brownshirts if you must.
As I said before, this IS NOT ORGANIC. Someone is funding this operation, and it absolutely cannot be from a NGO that has good intentions. Some of you haven't learned how this works.

There’s quite a few obnoxious ones but I follow a couple auditors.

They’re not providing some kind of service to educate the public, they’re jerkoffs looking for lawsuits and social media clout

Yes, some of you get it. It's the latest version of Westboro Baptist Church. Don't fall for it.

I don't think you understand any part of this.
A lot of these people have youtube channels and they get views. They make money on this organically. None of this would be possible if LE knew about and cared about the law. These are not rare situations. They are far too common, which is why this stuff still takes place.
So far, all you've mentioned is that people are doing things that are constitutionally protected, and here you are, throwing a tantrum about it - you prove why they're needed.
Also, these guys are routinely harassed by people like you and LE, and they often end up arrested falsely, and win settlements in court because people are ignorant of the law. This is not validating antifa. You don't get settlements for validating antifa.
The internet is littered with these videos and 99% of them highlight ignorance of the law by LE. This is an entire genre of video content.
- Lawyer making money on the side with Uber, gets pulled because the rider is wanted. Police then want to go after the driver (lawyer) and they quickly see that it's going to be FAFO time if they proceed.
- Guy in police station parking lot filming, on public property, gets approached by LE, and treats them exactly as they treat him, asking them, "how much have you had to drink today". Finally they figure out they need to leave him alone.
- Another attorney making money doing housing inspections iirc, waiting for the homeowner or something, parked on the side of the road, police are called, he explains why he's there and they try the whole 'give us some ID' routine, he says he doesn't have to do that, they call backup, threaten him, finally police call their own attorneys and get it explained to them that he doesn't have to ID, all of this after they detained and cuffed this guy. They got sued and people's tax dollars went to a settlement because the police don't know the law and refuse to train on it.
The internet is full of this stuff, and you should be thankful. Departments are shelling out cash, your tax dollars, because they don't know the law and refuse to teach it in the academies, and instead tell police they can do things that are flatly unconstitutional. Eventually they'll be forced to learn the law, which is good for everyone.
I have seen videos of such grande stupidity, where police violate a criminal defense attorney's 4th amendment rights, at the courthouse, while being filmed, and they think they have authority to do what they do. They didn't, and they got sued. It was a blatant violation and total amateur hour by them. Virtually all of this comes from people in public with cameras, "auditing".
If you can't understand the utility of this, and understand why this must be done, even though it's distasteful, then that's a you problem. If you want to throw a tantrum, get angry at LE that don't know the law and will 100% arrest you illegally - then retaliate when you hold them accountable.
Of all the things to get angry about...this isn't one of them.

This wall of text is how I would define tantrum, buttercup.
The place they are planning to protest is a Council of Governments building. Good luck with your anti-cop narrative. Good luck understanding what a Council of Governments function is for that matter. You're so righteous because you watched some Youtube videos. Yawn.

Better than sovereign citizen videos but not by much.
