You are completely missing why these auditors exist. Its not about defunding the police, its education of the police

Since you seem about as intelligent as most cops, its not surprising you dont understand how the Constitution works. You just want unopposed compliance with unlawful orders without that pesky Constitution in the way.

Well, freedom isnt for everyone. Maybe try Cuba.

P.S. Cops violate white and black peoples rights with equal lust. Race isnt an issue when it comes to the Thin Blue Egos.

If I linked you a few different audits would you watch them?

No need to. I watch them and the watchdogs on Youtube that call them out regularly, just as you do. My issue is not with cameras on LE (so long as they keep their space), it's cameras on employees of a local government agency, to where almost no one in the building is in charge of all the atrocities of LE mistreatment. It's an advertisement of anarchy, which is a Marxist trait.

Folks, here's the point. We saw the "defund the police" movement and now we have this First Amendment Auditors movement. If you think one is more valid than the other, then show what you know about each. If the First Amendment Auditors are a legit grassroots campaign, I'll be happy to accept the "L" on my argument. If someone tracks down the funding of this campaign as another "Media Matters" operation, then I will have made my point. Since there's obviously money involved, I will stand by my opinion.

Why don't the police just do their job and enforce the law without getting bent out of shape? If they did we wouldn't need these auditors.

LE mistakes come with life-and-death realities. It's a tough job I would never want. But if everything they do is under a microscope:
-Can we ever trust a cop if their every move is on video?
-Do we just get rid of the profession?
-Who's going to tell that drunken ahole to stop terrorizing the neighbors?
-Who's going to find the human traffickers? (oh wait. the local LE only looks for "Johns"). Um no one, and the First Amendment warriors couldn't give two shites about that, amirite? Okay, that's my rant for the day g'nite!

You mean like the pic in the WaPo story where a masked filmer was literally 4 feet away from a LE officer interacting with a traffic stop, fully garbed with a camera and mask....
WAIT! Stop the press, I just looked at the WaPo article and they changed the lead picture which displayed what I described. I don't want to take credit, but someone must have thought that picture was too provocative. And they would be right.

Just to be clear, I'm fully on board with folks filming an arrest or a domestic dispute, etc. I just have a problem with cameras in close proximity to a law enforcement engagement. Let them do their job.

And no I'm not a cop and I have more bad experiences with cops than I do good. But I'm getting older and less mischievous, so the past cop encounters in the past several years are like 3 out of 4 good, the 4th being a dumb roll through stop sign ticket that I'd say was, uh, triggered by an early siren (entrapment by a young and eager cop).

two quotes from you, bootlicking buttercup.

1st amendment audits serve a very good purpose: if nothing else, they show the free citizen that, while the individual officer himself might not be the actual enemy, his office means he's no friend of the free man.

"just following orders" is not an excuse for tyranny, e.g. nazism, marxism, etc., and you hear that phrase all the time on first amendment audits.

but according to you and your illiteracy, I've already typed out too much for you to comprehend, buttercup.

You do realize that half the "insurrectionists" at Jan 6 were fed operatives and Antifa. This is organic as chickens with the Pfizer vaccine.

That’s ridiculous. Feds and Antifa wouldn't be trying to stop Joe Biden from becoming president.
You know who would be? Trump supporters who falsely believed Trump won the election.

It was about stopping the transfer of power. The election had already happened.

They make money when cops violate their rights, nobody is funding them, it’s from social media hits. Again huge cop supporter but I’ve also sworn an oath and these auditors are well within their rights. It’s alarming that most of these cops don’t know the bill of rights and when the auditors tell them what will happen or the constitution they say they dgaf.

Are you saying police should also be lawyers, or at least paralegals?

They should know what basic freedoms are and what they’re arresting someone for. Go watch some it may change your mind.

So when a rando shows up to your place of employment (let's just say, any random government building) and interrogates you as if you had already committed a crime, you are cool with that? So, if you are, say, just an administrative assistant, and a camera is shoved in your face. Are you still cool with that?!? What if you are the janitor for the building? Are you still cool with that? I'm all about government oversight, but this reeks of Marxism. When your local fire department largely disbanded because of these clowns scaring off public servants, and your house is on fire, and no one is available because of lack of staffing, ARE YOU COOL WITH THAT?

If you support First Amendment Auditors, then shove this narrative down your throat.
