TDAP Vaccine Question

My daughter is pregnant with her first. She's anxious as any new mother would be. She dropped this request on the wife and I the other day. Said we needed to get our TDAP vaccine for the sake of the baby. My internal medicine guy said it should be OK. All the gov't sponsored web sites say it's OK, but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had any issues with it. And no, before 2020 I'd never thought to have to ask this question.....

So you're asking if its safe for you and your wife to get a Tdap vaccine? Sure. Been around a long time.

Got one last year prior to the birth of the little girl my wife and I adopted at the recommendation of my doctor. Wanted it to avoid the risk of whooping cough being contracted by the baby. Quick and painless, experienced no issues afterwards

Yeah this is the hot new things in the baby books is to require grandparents to get TDAP boosters
I’ve given hundreds of them and about 95% of them were all older folks who’s kids ask them they get it before the baby is due
Never had anyone come back with issues or complications

Doctor says it's okay.
Research says it's okay.
Strangers on the internet: source of truth.

Yeah it has been around for a long time. I got one a couple of years ago after my last child was born
