The chart that Trump should focus on and hammer from now until November

Inflation adjusted income
The middle class cost of living is one of the most important topics in any election cycle and one that Trump can win on easily
If you can read a graph it's pretty obvious what has transpired here. We had a decent rebound in this metric in Obama's second term and an even more aggressive spike in this important metric in Trump's term. Everyone with even a stoner's memory knows what happened in 2020 and is easily explained and then a sharp downturn during the Biden administration. Trump needs to tout this as a success of his first term and convince voters that we'll see a reversal in the downward trend and spike back up if he is given another term.
Almost every other topic should take a huge backseat to this because it affects the majority of Americans. Sure, feel free to point out other flaws in the Biden administration, like the Afghanistan debacle, the terrible response to Maui, and Joe's declining mental ability.
But this should be the drum that gets beaten from now until election time.

But Gavin Newsome says Biden is crushing it.

Looks like it turned down before Covid

Yep. It's pretty simple.
Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

The thing I hate about inflation numbers is that they exclude Groceries and Energy. I'd like to see the numbers with everything included.

He’s not capable of focusing on anything.

But then he might have to talk about how his reckless spending kicked off this inflation. It’s not something he wants to focus on unless he’s only talking to the cultists who refuse to acknowledge his culpability in our current situation.

Ain’t no “focusing” going on. He’s “honing in.”

Exactly. Groceries and energy are two areas in which the middle class is feeling the pain of inflation the most and seeing little relief.

Inflation is a function of every dollar spent above revenue generated. The problem your premise faces: Trump added 8 trillion of the total 34 trillion, so he is responsible for 24% of all inflation.

Think I seen that defaults on mortgages just tied with 2013 and is rising as well

Perhaps some
But every graph of some sort is going to have ups and downs as you can see throughout the history

Correct. But it's not like he is above lying about it

There's a legitimate reason some commodities aren't included in inflation numbers. Gas prices can fluctuate based on a number of factors unrelated to inflation. Same with grain, or crawfish.

And with the help of congress Brandon poured fuel on the fire. You want more of that? At least Trump has demonstrated restraint when it is unnecessary to spend, say for things like a pandemic shutdown.

Gasoline is a large component of energy consumption.
When energy is cheap and abundant we are more productive.
How do you fight debt and inflation? With production. Cheap and abundant energy is the mechanism to more production.

Maybe we should try something different instead of choosing between president pisses money away with a D behind his name and president pisses money with an R behind his name.

You feel like you got your moneys worth out of that gender studies money he sent to Pakistan?

I'm game but we are never given those choices.

This is what you get with CRs and omnibus bills.
