My brain is just not picturing this. Where on Greenwell Springs was this?

IIRC right past Jerry Lee's on the same side of the road. It wasn't technically in Central but right outside of it. We used to go eat there occasionally.

The fact that Co-op and Video Palace weren't your first two choices is just SAD.

Video Co-Op was fantastic. We used to go to Video Palace when my mom was picking up something from Eckerds. Solid store — But Co-op was great. I like how they’d sit the returns off to the side and you could usually find some nice new releases that hadn’t made it back to the shelf.

I grew up in Longwood across from Park Forest - so our whole lives revolved around Greenwell Springs, Sherwood Forest and parts of Florida Blvd.

It’s like a ghost town now. Last time I passed through, I barely recognized the place.

I worked at Video Co-Op. To this day one of the best jobs I ever had. I am still friends with all my old co-workers to this day. So many people tried to steal the Mechanical Gorilla.

It is where Aletha Dr. In Park Forest Sub. ends at Greenwell Spring Rd. Aletha is the street that Park Forest Middle is on. I grew up in Park Forest and remember that the place was never very busy.

We used to go to S&R by the original Winn Dixie. I grew up off Gurney.
Central is totally different than it was back then.

we might have had red tape on the plain VHS boxes the tapes were in, but the actual sleeves weren’t altered. That is, unless someone pissed on them, which happened more often than you’d think. We installed a camera back there and it was pretty entertaining to watch some couples go back there to ‘browse.’

Although I lived in Central, I played BREC football with the Park Forest Pirates. The Bobcats sucked.

S&R, there's a name I hadn't heard in awhile

I married one of the girls that worked there; she was at several of their stores over the years.
Man, the 80's were great
