She would be stupid to not stay another year. NIL pays way more than a league that is subsidized by the NBA and loses money

Why do yall keep saying this? She’s gonna make that same money regardless

Do you think she’s gonna just lose all her endorsements/sponsors when she leaves lsu?

She’ll have that same money plus getting paid to play basketball, something she isn’t getting now

Let’s be real, the wnba needs angel Reese more then Reese needs the wnba if we’re being honest.

Before the natty last year with her and Clark, nobody gave a shite about womens basketball.

She has those endorsements because of college basketball. Not guaranteed a roster spot in wnba

Shaq has taken her under his wing. They speak daily. If anyone can show her the way and show her how she can o still make money 30 years after leaving LSU

Because people here still haven't been able to grasp the concept that LSU isn't paying NIL deals. And they also don't understand that endorsement deals are allowed outside of college NIL deals.

I think the way the season plays out will dictate her decision. Angel is def a competitor and seems to enjoy playing basketball, but she’s not listed as a high draft pick at the moment.

Well, if anything an extra year here would allow her time to develop more. If you have an extra year to get stronger with a low chance of serious injury why not.

No she does not have her degree yet. Angel said in her social media accounts she is graduating this May. She is a senior this year (2 years at MD and 2 years at LSU). She can stay one more covid year as a graduate senior next season if she chooses. Hailey graduated 1-year early, got her degree last year from Louisville. She can also stay one more covid year.

LSU vs Iowa had 9.9 million viewers whereas the 2023 WNBA finals averaged 728,000. Angel Reese has far more marketability at LSU than in the WNBA.

Angel is gonna keep some of her endorsements regardless if she goes pro or not. That said some the level of attention/endorsements from playing in the W will come down to how productive/successful she is there. It is a bit harder when to earn more brands/deals while if you don’t get that same exposure. There is a balance for sure. Unfortunately college wbb is marketed and has much better exposure than the WNBA overall and it’s in the numbers

Secondly how could anyone take what the OP wrote from the press conference? I listened to Kim talk about the seniors/upperclassmen having a sense of urgency as they approach the end of their college careers. It was not specific to Reese at all but she was talking about seniors in general.

And I heard Reese is very open to coming back but nothing finalized yet. Let’s see how the rest of the year plays out

Yes, she would be a graduate student if she stayed.

would not be surprised to see her go into sports reporting. She does well in front of the camera and seems to like it.

She'll be 6'-3" 287 after a year of not playing basketball

I think the bigger concern here is not whether or not she’s coming back next year but the fact that she’s counting down her last games for THIS season could mean she’s more looking forward to getting out than being excited to play hard and help her team win the rest of the way this season.

No one cares about WNBA? That’s about to change with Clark and Angel.
