I'm a Saints fan, so frick the 49ers definitely frick the Falcons. But:
1) You've gotta get to the Super Bowl to lose it
2) 2 of those 3 losses were the ONLY 2 OT games in Super Bowl history
3) All 3 of those losses were to probably the 2 greatest QBs who've ever lived
4) I know his play-calling may not have been great in hindsight, but that Falcons loss was on Dan Quinn more than anybody. He was the HC after all.

Shannahan just out thinks himself and his team in the big moments. If you look at the last Offensive play on OT, the OL fricked that up royally.

They had the Chiefs absolutely down and out in the Feb 2020 Super Bowl and sucked complete arse in the 4th. They owned that game until the end.
