It was either Greenwood or Greenville or something like that, in Mississippi.

But, Eutaw Alabama is right up there, too.

Gets my vote. Nothing there worth a damn since the Cottonpatch closed.

Greenville

For as prosperous as what it once was, this would get my vote. Still got some damn good tamales though.

Greenville has gone to shite but Greenwood isn’t bad. Has a lot of great restaurants and still a good bit of money there. It definitely has a ghetto side between 82 and the river but north Greenwood and the downtown area around the Alluvian hotel is nice

Greenwood is 10x better than Greenville and even with that there's several Delta towns worse than Greenville.

While Greenwood ain’t nuthin’ to write home about, Greenville makes it look like a flat Park City.

Any answer that doesn’t include the word “Bogalusa” to the OP’s question is incorrect.

Greenville is shite. Greenwood is good if you like small towns.

Greenville

I live in Greenwood. We have our problems for sure, but there is still a large neighborhood within the city limits populated by a strong middle class with a good bit of upper class/old money sprinkled throughout. It also has a strong and safe little downtown. It needs another restaurant or two in that immediate downtown area around the Alluvian Hotel, but the shopping is solid. Being locals, instead of going to Giardina’s (restaurant in the Alluvian) much, we’ll go eat at the bar that connects to Giardina’s every couple months or so and it’s always interesting how many people from Louisiana and Arkansas are in town for the weekend. Viking Cooking School is a big draw.

I live 20 miles from Eutaw and I agree. Good hunting though.

North half of Greenwood is a different world from south of the Yalobusha River.

Arcola, MS... We had to drive through it going to Hot Springs Ark. That's one depressing town.

I hunt right down the road from eutaw. That’s considered the town where we get groceries.
