Don't You Miss The Blockbuster Days?

Over the years we have gotten lazy because of technology. Hell now you can rent a movie from your couch as you stuff your face with chips and dip. That being said, don't you miss the old days where you went to the local video store and rented movies? Remember the days you stayed over a friend's house after you rented movies and the mom ordered pizza? Damn those were some good times. So be it Blockbuster or whatever named movie rental place, share your stories. What says you?

I liked to go into the adult video rooms.

The experience was fun and cool. I keep thinking one day we will go back but we actually haven’t turned back haha.

Not really.
Too many times where I got fricked because Blockbuster’s drones put stuff back on the shelf without checking it in first.
I’d gotten to the point where I had a better selection than them and mainly went either on discount days or if something brand new I couldn’t buy for whatever reason was for rent.

Yeah, wandering around a movie rental place was a fun, unique experience.

Symbolize a time when people actually had the attention span to sit through a movie without the distractions of your smart phone/personal tracking device

This rainy day in Lake Charles would have been the perfect day to grab snacks and a couple super nes games and chill.

I miss that and the milkman. It was like Christmas morning every time he came since we waited to see if we got chocolate milk and/or ice cream.

It was a thing to do. I do miss it

Nothing like going to Blockbuster on Friday night and all of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 PS1 games being rented already. Complete buzzkill.

Do I miss being a kid? Sure.
Do I miss going to blockbuster only to find the movie I want has already been rented so I look through everything and pick something that I don’t know sucks until I get home? Not really.

Blockbuster Cock Bustin Her > Netflix & Chill

I did like the experience of going and spending 30 minutes finding a movie. I wasn’t a fan of late fees.

Don't miss it at all. I did have friends who worked in one of them and I'd hang in there sometimes. I guess I miss that part, but I don't miss having to go to a brick and mortar to rent.

Blockbuster sucked arse. It was tons of fun going to rent a movie, only to see it had already been rented, and then you were wandering around trying to figure out what would scratch the itch. Then you had to return the fricking thing.
Nothing stopping you from going to a friend's house to eat pizza and stream a movie. Not sure what Blockbuster is bringing to that equation, other than annoyance
