I feel like if I don't add a tip to my to-go order I placed on their site at a restaurant

They are going to do something to my food on purpose
I just ordered a Jersey Mikes Sub and I always add a little tip at the check out by clicking the 15%, 18% or 25% button at the end of checkout, but this time I completely forgot - Now I am worried they might do something to my food on purpose.
How did we get here as a society where it's basically normal to tip everything and everywhere we go? It's out of control
These millions of illegals are going to learn the hard way that tipping is part of life in America where it was not where they are from.

You're worried that they'll do something to your food bc you didn't leave a $1.50 tip? How did you get to that point in society?

You're at a food place. Let's not act like you're at the drug store
And the food there is pretty much made in front of you

Save the tip and make your own sandwich. Get some good bread good deli meat cheese. I do it bc it’s freakin $40 to eat JJs with 2 boys.

If you don’t tip they rub their wee wee on your food

Yea but they'll learn the easy way that the government will give them money for free.

My favorite is the DoorDash drivers who text you before they arrive reminding you to tip.
Then they pull up blaring rap music for the whole neighborhood to hear

No no no.
You get the money for nothing.
The chicks are free.

They usually put their nuts on your food regardless.

Agreed. Anyone with a brain can make a decent sandwich.

Here's a tip - stop eating fast food. It is poison.

I frequently don't tip for takeout; I never worry about my food.
Have you considered that all of this is just in your head with no rational basis for concern or worry?

Because that's how people are now in society...

Don't worry, Jersey Mike keeps all the tips anyway. The employees don't even know.

Tipping is so out of control.
You tip the service. That's a societal expectation. That's waiters and barkeeps and the guy that brings your food to your door.
Anything beyond that is discretionary and should be completely on the consumer to choose.
Someone whose exact job is to make a sandwich to order made that sandwich.
Do you tip the guy you pay to put a tire on your car?
No Tip.

I feel like you make these kinds of threads quite often, and I also feel like you’re not this fukin stupid either.
You can’t be this stupid

Ordered coffee last week. The sign that came up to tip was switched around.
Typical from left to right it says 18%, 20%, 22% etc.
Well the highest option was where the 18% was.
Nearly hit it by accident, until I realized they flipped them all around. Went with 0 percent instead because frick places that attempt to trick you into leaving a higher tip.
ETA: I also only order black coffee, so they don’t really need a tip for pouring plain coffee in a cup
