Plan on making the drive from Atlanta in the Fall. Want to reserve somewhere to stay right now. It looks like hotels are price gouging during football weekends.

Best Western’s not bad. Newer than most others.

Legit had zero idea we played South Carolina this season.
Last time we played there was 2008. Wow.
Should have been 2015 but that Hurricane messed things up.

My Wife stays on frat row-says they give her a great rate. I stay home to watch her cats.

Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western to name a few that are just 25-20 minutes from Campus. There are 2 places closer to campus but I can't recall the names at the moment.
While on a travel assignment there, I stayed at a few hotels. I ended up spending more time at Sleep Inn and Ramada Inn. The manager at the Ramada Inn always gave a great discount because I was a traveling healthcare professional and military.

Heard from a friend that if the game is during their State Fair that its a madhouse downtown. And it is scheduled to be this year. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Sheraton downtown is where I’ve stayed

Was at the 2008 game when the fair was going on and was a trip with that right across the street but drove in from Charlotte (Saints-Panthers played that Sun) and was $20 parking walking distance. That was several years ago so would expect it much higher and probably pretty crowded hotels. Stadium was cool with the 2001 music intro and then beat them with J Booty
May consider again!

I usually stay in Hilton Columbia Center or Hampton Inn Columbia Downtown.
They are near most of the good eating options (Gervais and Vine, Kaminsky’s, etc)
