So people say they rigged it for Taylor Swift, but the non Taylor Swift game had more viewers

The NFL ON CBS scored the most-watched AFC Championship Game ever, averaging 55.473 million viewers in the early window (3:03-6:12 PM, ET). The previous record was 54.850 million viewers for Jets-Steelers in the late window (6:42-9:54 PM, ET) on Jan. 23, 2011.

The average viewership for the NFC Championship slightly outpaced the AFC Championship. That game, between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, which was played earlier in the day, had an average viewership of 55.4 million. It was the most-watched AFC Championship game of all time, CBS said.

Bills Chiefs drew 50 million and it wasn’t the conf champ game. That’s a wild number
Swift in prime for a champ game would have likely busted 60 million avg

My favorite part of that particular conspiracy is that it never occurred to someone that they could just invite her even if the Chiefs weren’t in it

That’s because people are fricking stupid and have to have an excuse for everything.
The week before the game, there was a screen shot from a Canadian news station that “inadvertently” ran the Super Bowl teams on a crawler ad at the bottom of the screen and everyone was freaking out and whining that they knew the NFL was rigged.
Yet, it was for Baltimore vs SF.
Oops. And no one seems to want to bring it up.

But I thought having that one game on Peacock was going to effect the ratings the rest of the playoffs?

The conspiracy nuts are in the minority, but loud. The rest of us just STFU and watch football.

NFL owns American sports and it isn’t close
