That ended
Just recently, but thats not the major issue with Disney, its the wait. The fact that you have to purchase lightening lane and then can only have one ride booked at a time. Went to Hollywood last year and in 7hours, was only able to ride 4 things and see one show.
Universal knows how to do it with express pass.
There are rumors out there that Disney is going to do away with queuing. You will book experience via app and then just show up to ride at your time. They are doing this so people are walking around and spending money, rather than standing in lines for hours upon hours and not having access to throw $$$ to Disney. Its genius actually.

Blows my mind this hasn’t been done in some capacity before.
“Okay, it’s a 60 minute wait.”
*check in*
“Alright let’s go grab a beer and site see.”

Heard the same, and we agree
Bigger issue at Disney is crowds, scooters & no capacity restrictions.
Universal really isn’t a “kids” park, IMO - more like Teenager and Up.

Yeah, thats not happening anytime in the foreseeable future. The vast majority of WDW guests on any given day are first timers and the amount of people who show up every single day with no idea what My Disney Experience even is incredible. Those virtual queues are incredibly expensive and can be useful for very popular (or new) attractions but they aren't going to move solely to virtual queues for all of their attractions.
