Millennial? I've got warts that are too old to be millennials.

Miles Davis - Sounds like he’s blowing random notes through a bent metal toilet pipe 90% of the time. frick modal jazz in general.
Did you ever listen to Birth of the Cool?

No
I’ve listened to Kind of Blue, Round About Midnight, On the Corner, and In a Silent Way.
I was being over inflammatory, honestly it kinda bothers me I can’t get into him because most of my favorite musicians love him.
I like Coltrane and Mingus tho.

Birth of the Cool is exactly what you should try, then. A VERY different feel from his later stuff. It’s almost incomprehensible that the same person made that album and Bitches Brew.

Playing a bunch of notes and having a classical background doesn’t make your songs good.

I’ve been listening to Fugazi all week but when I’m in a jazz mood I’ll keep it in mind

Too much energy. Just pass and move on

The Grateful Dead. I have tried and tried to discover what makes this band so appealing to such a large number of people. I've listened to studio albums and live performances. I just can't do it. When I think "psychedelic rock" some noodly, panty-waist pseudo-rock folk shite is about the last thing that comes to my mind. Their popularity mystifies me.
Pearl Jam. Easy-listening "grunge" at its worst. Eddie Vedder's voice drives me up the wall. Not that his voice is bad, I just can't stand the way he uses it.

I don't disagree on Springsteen.
Can't stand: Sting / Police, Rush
Barely stand: REO Speedwagon, Journey

It's funny the revisionist history on Bruce. When I was in junior high and high school in the mid 70s to early 80s in South Florida Bob Seger was huge. Bruce was just another rocker with some big records but no iconic star. And South Florida is full of NY/NJ guidos and meatheads. Now, the mostly northeastern media act like Springsteen was on the level of Elvis or the Beatles.
As far as hate - Dylan. Nails on a chalkboard
All of the grunge dogshit of the 90s

For me Guns N Roses. It is really Axl, what a fricking tool.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m an 80s rock / hair metal connoisseur and they are at the bottom of the list.
Something always felt ‘manufactured’ with their immediate popularity and Axl just screams most the time.

Horrible take on van Morrison.
The only musician that has ever lived or that will ever live that should be euthanized strictly because of his music.
-----------------------------------------------
You're probably right, because Into The Mystic, Tupleo Honey, Caravan, Moondance and Brown Eyed Girl are all excellent examples of terrible songs. And of course, Van Morrison is really not the living embodiment of the term, Blue Eyed Soul. Now, go look into the mirror, and gaze upon the douchebag who posted the absolutely worst take of the last 20 years. Go ahead...I'll wait.

I will respectfully disagree, but Emerson’s modular Moog unit goes pretty hard
