So I got a speeding ticket last night. 96 in a 70. No way I was going that fast. I get home and check life 360 and it shows my max speed was 82. How do I get this resolved? Traffic court lawyer? Any help is appreciated

Wear fishnets and ruby red lipstick to the court date. Offer a good time for no ticket

Screenshot the Life 360 screen and text it to the number on the back of the ticket. They should cut your fine in half.

Still speeding. Did you get any extra for 20+ over?

Screenshot the Life 360 ot preserve it some other way. Plead not guilty. Get a court date. Talk to the DA and show them your proof. Argue that the cop got the wrong person and ask for a complete dismissal.
If they won't dismiss settle for a non-moving violation and see if you can get them to waive fines and/or costs.
I woild not plead to any moving violation. Cop got the wrong car.

You can contact the DA's office in the the jurisdiction where got the ticket to find out who handles the traffic citations. Call and talk to them and you probably end up only having to do defensive driving if you haven't had a ticket in a while. Or you can show up to court with your evidence, if the cop doesn't show up it will get dismissed.

Maybe try calling and talking to someone about it at the police station. They can reverse a ticket, before the court date, if you have some kinda proof.
I'm not sure about speeding. But, I pulled my wreck footage from DOTD cameras, that showed the guy running the red light and hitting me, after I got the ticket for running the red light. (Him and a witness lied on his behalf).
I went straight to the cops and it was resolved with a huge apology.

Did the cop use radar or laser?
If laser, you're going to have a very difficult time, even with Life 360 providing the laser gun was targeted on any other vehicle than yours.
If radar, you have a fighting chance.

82 in a 70 is still speeding

So you admit that you were speeding? They very well may assist you with a humble attitude but expect to pay a fine.

Since u were speeding anyway ask the agency that gave u the ticket for a diversion. Wont go on your insurance.

This is not the usual your word against the cop situation. If you have evidence, bring it to your court date and show the DA. They are usually more than happy to work a deal with you. If you can’t at least get the chance reduced way down, ask for a continuance and get a lawyer.

Easy to resolve, just put a check in the mail for the full amount. Should take care of itself after that!
